Is the promotional gift card for Dell online store use?

That's the way I read it, the $60 gift card is for Dell...I'll clarify in the OP. Thanks!

Wow that's cheap.

I definitely don't need one. What can I use it for?!!! I want one..

Anyone know if I can use the Dell gift card to pay on a DPA account?

corduroy said: Anyone know if I can use the Dell gift card to pay on a DPA account?

probably not, but I bet you could sell it someone (like a friend or family member) for 55-60, the use the proceeds to pay your DPA account.

The Dell gift card is only valid for future purchases. Possible eBay or private sell could result in cash.

in41. Great price for basic use!

Thanks!

has anyone found any info on how easy it is to upgrade these? i.e. the 1TB option is $150. can I just get one separately and pop it in? What about memory?

Screaming $124!

Don't forget 5% Bing Cash Back and 3% Dell DPA discount.

1. Go to Bing and do search on Dell Zino for link for 5% CashBack.
2. Use your credit card and it will offer 3% discount.

Sub Total $193.03 (using 3% Dell DPA discount)
5% Bing Cash Back - 9.65
$60 Dell gift card - 60
Total $123.38 plus tax

This is cheaper than building my own HTPC!

Thanks OP!

when trying for bing CashBack I keep getting Oops! Our server slipped. Please refresh this page, and try again.

Are you using explorer?

yup IE 8, just tried it on another laptop with XP and ie 7, same thing. Same thing with chrome, same thing with different e-mail addresses. somethings up on their end.

Does anyone know what kind of differences are there between the x2 3250e and x2 neo 6850e? (besides 300 mhz)

I don't see the gift card at final check out. Also I don't know how to find the Zino HD promo after Bing link.

Anyone find any CPU benchmarks of these processor options versus other common CPUs?

Now which fool would opt for Windows Vista on this ? Easy $30 for you there, Dell. Clever

does anyone knows it can output 5.1 on HDMI? i see the sound card as 2.1.

It does output 5.1 over HDMI

Is this a Socket AM2+ Mobo? Will it support a 95W proc?

you can upgrade the processor and add a blu-ray for a total of 299 to make it a great media center pc.

can't add to cart... gives me errors!any luck?

Would I need to upgrade the Sound Card to the "Soundblaster X-Fi Hi Def Audio - Software Enabled" for an additional $25 in order to have true 5.1 over HDMI?

The default audio configuration states: "Built in 2.1 high-definition audio"

Through Discover, is it like FatCash or Bing CashBack - or is it if I can get back 10% just for using the Discover Card... Just thinking if I can use my Discover and still get bing Cash Back.

"Soundblaster X-Fi Hi Def Audio" is SOFTWARE only, there's no extra hardware for Hi Def Audio decoding. don't be suckered into this crap. better download the latest audio driver from audio chip manufacturer website and ati catalyst drivers to enable hdmi audio, I don't know if this can do 5.1 over HDMI, but I surely can guarantee that "Soundblaster X-Fi Hi Def Audio" is nothing but software enhancement.

Looks like the $60 giftcard was taken away

Shouldn't you give credit to SlickDeals for posting this first? It's a pretty random deal to find on your own.

I think they might be pulling this deal. There was a screen that said the $60 gift card was for Windows Vista not being compatible with Napster, but I can't find the screen now. If you order with Windows 7 you might not be getting the $60 gift card.

Answers to most of your questions regarding 5.1 on HDMI and the differences between the cpu and gpu can be found on at avs here
Great price and just placed an order for one.
Thanks OP.

Shouldn't we not care? (I post in both places; it's just not that important)

Update: now I can't cancel the order, even though I had the gift card, then when I got my email and checked the config it was gone. It's "in process" (but not going to be delivered for three weeks?) so it "can't be canceled. A manager is supposed to call me back w/i 4 hours...we'll see. Looks like a CC dispute in my future.

Picked one up last night. Probably should have upgraded the video card and RAM, but cheaped out. Ah well, I can probably pick up a cheapish stand-alone video card with the $60 gift card, I'm sure.

CRAP! Looks like my order did not go through, it does not show up anywhere. Oh well, time for an e-mail to my Dell guy.

It's on my order with windows 7 so I won't have any problem getting it. Looks like it's gone now though.

Looks like it's gone now - deal is dead.
