Anyone have experience with Targus brand batteries? I have a bunch of NiMH batteries already. I know that Eneloops and Maha are some of the best. I've had bad experience with Tenergy, but have never used Targus batteries.
AAA & AA batteries have different mAh ranges. Most AAA NiMH batteries range from 700-1000mAh while most AA's are 2000mAh+ range.
Eneloops for example are 800mAh (AAA)and 2000mAh (AA).
I've never tried Targus rechargeables but I found this link which shows only this AAA version and a AA "pre-charged" version. I'm not sure what that means but the batteries/pictures look the same.
If these are pre-charged / LSD batteries, this is a smokin' deal.
Wow, thats cheap for a set of rechargable batteries.

I dont understand how they claim retail price is $39.99 for 8 rechargeables? Sounds like ballsheet to me. for 6.99 its good, and I like how its 1000mah, all my AAA are only 800.

$6 for shipping? that makes it 8 batteries for $13 bucks, now that's definitely ballsheet to me.

Sounds like they're pre-charged. Great deal. From the froobi website...

you guys would be disappointed. on Targus website, they show both aa and aaa batteries. the aa packaging clearly says 4 pre-charged, whereas the aaa packaging clearly says 4 rechargeable. See AAA here (click on the small thumbnails) and AA here, and both of them on the same page here. the only conclusion i can draw is that the aaa are not pre-charged. froobi is trying to deceive you!

Thanks for the link... looks like they are white-tops in the pic... so probably rebadged Eneloops...
If so- great deal OP!

Uh, no. If that were the case, they'd mention lithium or something loopy in the description. I'd consider these if they were -loop or AA. The only use I have for AAA is fle..flashlights and those really deserve lithium rechargeable given the lengthy storage times.

I picked up 8. if they're low self discharge, then awesome price! if not, then still great price for any rechargeables not named "Tenergy".
I haven't seen any 1000mAh AAA pre-charged batteries yet - and I am sure when they do come out that Targus will not be the first. I have pre-charged AAA 800mAh eneloop and duracell batteries and they both work well for me.

This deal is probably dead by now, but when I entered my zip code, it came out to $5.90 for shipping. =( no go for me. should be free shipping, IMO.
