Also, for all the people looking at for the gas version of the dryer, in all the previous bestbuy washer and dryer sales, bestbuy always advertise with the electric version of the dryer as it is cheaper. They usually have the gas version available for an additional $50. More than likely, you will be able to get the gas dryer for $399. YMMV
this might just be worth getting and not having to chance it with theirs or Sears listed on BF. could wait to pick up and see if i could get either of the others online. nice.
Oh wow! This may make me reconsider the Samsung deal I jumped on. For half the price too! I know it's not of the same quality and lacks steam, but I just need a new w/d. And whatever's cheapest but still a nice front-loading set

I have a Whirlpool front load set, but typically they sell a stacking kit (not the same as a pedestal, which would make it too high). You can probably get away without the stacking kit, but it would be safer to get it (the dryer is relatively lightweight compared with the washer, and could conceivably be pushed over if you're not careful during use. Would definitely get the stacking kit if you have kids in the house). Wouldn't order from Bestbuy, though; there are plenty of online appliance parts places that would have it for less.
I've always found it hilarious that these M.B.A. corporate types who set pricing try to inflate their margins by thinking that we will spend $400 for a pair of stands that will raise the units a foot or so from the ground.
And to think that they keep their jobs, in this economy.
I bought the Samsung washer/dryer set at Sears last Sunday and while checking into rebates I discovered many local water and utility companies offer rebates for front loading washers. Call or google your local utilities to see if they have rebates. My local city water offered a $125 rebate on Energy star washers, $75 on toilets, $25 on fixtures etc.
Samsung has a search by state HERE for utility company rebates but do not trust all rebates will show up. Mine did not.

I have a 3.5 cu ft and our king size comforter fits; it probably depends on how fluffy it is (the comforter, not the washer).

i think they changed their policy. i went in to buy something that was 11 cents cheaper at WalMart (49.99 to wally's 49.88) and just out of curiosity asked them if they still did the 110%... they said no, but the guy gave me $5 instead! their new policy is to just match evenly.
