Starting 11/22/09, you can get the LG front load washer and dryer for $349.99 each

Front Load Washer - white

Front load dryer -white

Seems like a really good deal.

I know some of you want proof of the deal. Here is the scan of the ad.

Download bestbuy ad for w/d

Also, for all the people looking at for the gas version of the dryer, in all the previous bestbuy washer and dryer sales, bestbuy always advertise with the electric version of the dryer as it is cheaper. They usually have the gas version available for an additional $50. More than likely, you will be able to get the gas dryer for $399. YMMV

If true, this is a very good deal. I purchased this pair from Home Depot back in August and after all discounts ended up paying close to $900.

Damn, I was hoping it was this

Electric Dryer. Yuk.

Thanks for that enlightening contribution to this thread.

Dang, I bought just the washer for ~$500 & change at Home Depot a few weeks ago.

Anyone know if HD will price match after the fact on appliances?

of course they will. or else you could return it for a full refund

Yes, very enlightening indeed.

I prefer a Solar Dryer anyways

at least it's big enough to shove a troll in.

this might just be worth getting and not having to chance it with theirs or Sears listed on BF. could wait to pick up and see if i could get either of the others online. nice.

Do i need anything else to stack these on top of each other? I'm not spending $200 for a stinkin pedestal. Thanks.

Very good deal on this. If I knew our future new house wasn't including a w/d, I would be jumping on this one.

Any way to confirm this deal? I will be there at opening if it's real to get these!

I see store pickup not available so looks like an additional $70 per shipping.

Oh wow! This may make me reconsider the Samsung deal I jumped on. For half the price too! I know it's not of the same quality and lacks steam, but I just need a new w/d. And whatever's cheapest but still a nice front-loading set

Historically, $699 for front load washer/dryer combo probably will be the lowest, no matter where or which brand you buy

Is there a printed Ad? It would be much better to have Sears to price match and delivery for free.

I have a Whirlpool front load set, but typically they sell a stacking kit (not the same as a pedestal, which would make it too high). You can probably get away without the stacking kit, but it would be safer to get it (the dryer is relatively lightweight compared with the washer, and could conceivably be pushed over if you're not careful during use. Would definitely get the stacking kit if you have kids in the house). Wouldn't order from Bestbuy, though; there are plenty of online appliance parts places that would have it for less.

Your comment, yuk x2.

shipping is expensive. no pick up available.

would the washer be big enough for king sized comforters?

lucky for you, you only need to pay $30.

I've always found it hilarious that these M.B.A. corporate types who set pricing try to inflate their margins by thinking that we will spend $400 for a pair of stands that will raise the units a foot or so from the ground.

And to think that they keep their jobs, in this economy.

Now this is hot! Need 50% off on this. Maybe next black friday? My 5 yrs old top loading washer and dryer are still kicking.

Check for rebates!!!

I bought the Samsung washer/dryer set at Sears last Sunday and while checking into rebates I discovered many local water and utility companies offer rebates for front loading washers. Call or google your local utilities to see if they have rebates. My local city water offered a $125 rebate on Energy star washers, $75 on toilets, $25 on fixtures etc.

Samsung has a search by state HERE for utility company rebates but do not trust all rebates will show up. Mine did not.

i just got this washer at bestbuy for around $600 with warranty just 10days ago. what's their policy for price matching their sales so i can get a good chunk of my money back.

No, this is only 3.6CuFt.

Get a 4.2 or larger then MAYBE. Best bet is to take the comforter with you to the store and see if it will fit.

I thought it was 110% of the difference, or maybe not anymore?

Larvi said: would the washer be big enough for king sized comforters?

My GF has a 4.5CF one and it's still not really big enough although they say it is.

I have a 3.5 cu ft and our king size comforter fits; it probably depends on how fluffy it is (the comforter, not the washer).

DCFW said: I thought it was 110% of the difference, or maybe not anymore?

i think they changed their policy. i went in to buy something that was 11 cents cheaper at WalMart (49.99 to wally's 49.88) and just out of curiosity asked them if they still did the 110%... they said no, but the guy gave me $5 instead! their new policy is to just match evenly.

Question.. I have heard from numerous sales associates that anything smaller than a 4.0 will not handle King size comforters.. Any Help.. Thanks..

Sorry.. Just read the above..

Will this be available B&M, online, or both?

I'm out of town until after the 22nd and want to jump on this deal. Can I buy online the morning of the 22nd?

PG&E rebate finally arrived. For those in Bay Area who haven't submitted, it may not be too late yet.
