Nice shipped price for 3 sets....

Can any owner comment on the thickness/weight of these? I have a sister coming to live with me, who needs light plates for medical reasons. Heavy dishes will end up in shards on the floor -- if used at all.

I have the 'Country Cottage' design. As far as I know, all the Corelle Livingware styles are identical except for the pattern. The mug, by the way, is stoneware and heavy.

The dishes are very light and durable. Don't recall ever having used any other dishes this light. An added benefit is they take up much less room in your cabinets because they stack very flat. I like them very much. This is a very good price. I bought them at W.almart for $24-25 per set of four.

The manufacturer recommends not letting them sit in water for long periods of time. However, I really don't think this would be an issue in every day use, even if you do let them sit in a sinkfull of water for a while before washing.

Thanks OP...Been looking for a deal on these for a while...In for 2...

thanks a lot, Butcherboy. In for 1 + FS with Amazon prime!

this is much cheaper than the $25 I saw at WalMart.

I've been looking for a deal as well...
Thank you...
As for lightness, I agree with cga, they are the lightest dishes I've ever used that aren't plastic... They're really good for not chipping and breaking as well..
I just wish they had a better selection of patterns.

in for 1. was tracking them at 29.99 now 17.99 is a steal

In for 2, I am tired of my old heavy stoneware dishes! I hope I like these....the price is right!

Moving soon, so this will save a trip for me. Thanks OP!

Great deal OP. The woman likes heavy plates that throw out your back though so these wouldn't be allowed in the cupboard. Green though.

in for 2 plain jane white sets, thanks.

Nice plates... Been using them for about 3 years now... and apart from a little chipping on couple of plates, these are still as good as new! Love them, and would recommend them!

The mugs are on the heavier side... and kinda plain... but overall well worth it!

A good point to note is that Corelle® is break and chip-resistant, & oven, microwave and dishwasher safe.

Silly Question...
Does anyone who owns Corelle plates know how deep the dinner plates are? My food has a habit of trying to escape from my plate onto my table.

I don't think they're very deep, but I never had a problem with food sliding off.

They're not deep at all. I'd say from absolute bottom where it sits on the table, to the top edge of the rim, no more than an inch and possibly a bit less. If you're not careful, yes, the food does slip off. But that just makes eating a tiny bit more interesting .

in for 3:

Corelle Livingware 16-Piece Dinnerware Set with 16-ounce Glass, Service for 4, Country Cottage

I did not want the mugs, only 2 sets have glasses instead of mugs, so I chose this one.

Been using them for 6 years now- the strongest and lightest dishes ever. If you're not into super fine china these would be your best bet. Great deal, though I already have so many, more won't be needed. Also, considering how many times I've dropped them on the floor and how they beautifully they withstand, I will pass on this deal.

thankyou butcherboy, in for two, and if i don't like them someone will get an even better deal at goodwill

Country Cottage didnt seem eligible for free shipping. Did you pay shipping for it?

I still have plates that are 30 years old, not a chip on them. When they do break(which isn't often) they become shards, they just splinter. They do have a warrenty that they will replace a chipped or broken piece.
Great buy too.

Typically FSSS is on oders of $25 or more.

i own this set and its very nice and does take a beating... i recommend them

I'd just ordered 2 sets.
$35.98
($22.37) Shipping
($22.37) Super Saver Discount

$35.98 Total
I'd also applied for the Amazon Chase card & will have the promotion $30 credit on my new account (as they claim). So the final cost for my 2 sets will be $5.98. Amazing!!!! Thanks Op!!!

Thanks OP..In for two

It is out of stock, that is another seller.

Looks like a bunch of them are gone, if the price is over 17.99 they are out of stock, looks like 1/2 of the sets are gone!!!!!!

only 6 sets @ 17.99

The pattern that's pictured in the goldbox isn't $17.99. When you click the link, it's $29.99. Does that count as online bait and switch, since it doesn't say "as low as $17.99?"

Great price, In for 2, thanks OP

Are these the kind of plates/bowls where if you drop them the don't break??

right, the better looking ones are actually similar to those at WalMart for $29.97 each. Probably the deal is dead.

Thanks! We have been using the plain white sets at work for more than a year without any breakage (and with frequent use!). I just ordered another set because there are never enough coffee mugs and these don't seem to be sold separately.

YankeeRedneck said: Are these the kind of plates/bowls where if you drop them the don't break??They are break resistant but if you try hard enough they will break.

I really wanted to order some of these but had to wait until I got home to go over the patterns with my wife. Looks like it will be too late by then. When I looked a little while ago several patterns were back-ordered 4-7 weeks from Amazon, which would have been ok with me. Obviously they decided to just stop taking orders on those. I probably should have just ordered some of the ones that looked decent with that time frame, I would have had plenty of time to cancel the ones we did not want.

3 sets left...order quick if you want these.

In for 2 winter frost.

I think you should make sure your food is cooked (and dead) before putting it on the plate.
