Be sure to read requirements of each rebate!

Some require- Online Registration (Peachtree Pro for example)

others have short date windows, only 2-3 weeks to submit before invalid.

Do not buy any title if you can't comply with the rebate details.

Upgrader rebates usually require a copy of another software disc in same/similar type of product.

Also, some MIR's come in the form of Visa prepaid cards other in checks. So be aware of what you are getting as a "rebate".

Just an FYI, the Marine Aquarium Screen Saver is not worth postage or sales tax. Everything else looks great OP, thanks!

Thanks OP for your all your work on this.

Peachtree rebate took 6 months for me to get it.
Use Avast for antivirus...Free and better than all the others.

Just wondering why does this thread get a lot of green? Most of the software on the first list(not the upgrade list) seem useless to me.

some people have rewards or gift cards they like to turn back into cash and these FAR software deals are an excellent means to do so.

also, some people do the ink recycling, and you have spend money at OD to keep redeeming more ink carts.

Right. Now if I could just get my rewards card before the week ends.

I didn't get mine today, unfortunately.

Is computer software considered a technology product by Office Depot. All OD coupons I could find on eBay are not valid on technology products.

Yes.
If someone has a used in-store Staples coupon, then we can use the pdf at OD to get the competitor's coupon match.

The above three Nova Development titles have onbox rebates. There is an alphanumeric code on the box which needs to be entered at the website rebates.novadevelopment.com. The rebate form generated from the website will need to be mailed-in.

It's actually listed at $79.99, so it costs $10 after the rebates.

The Peachtree is not showing up as FAR either. I'm hoping that OD updates their site later to reflect the correct instant savings. That has happened in the past.

That has happened in the past.Check out the "Original Price" on OD's website for the impacted titles: notice that the instant rebate amount has been added to the "Original Price" (NIS retails for $69.99 not $79.99, Peachtree Pro retails for $199.99 not $234.99, etc) and then subtracted as "Instant Savings" thus netting out the instant rebate amount.

This happens quite frequently at OfficeDepot.com and it can take days for the price to be properly adjusted.

This will not be an issue in-store.

Does the Peachtree rebate really take 6mons? I was thinking buying that to increase my ink recycling limit.

It's free delivery, but a "small handling fee" of $9.95 for just one software title.

wrong, I have given you RED for misinformation. this is an instore deal.
It will be an online deal once OD gets its website properly updated. At the moment, the "Original Price" has been raised by the amount of the instant savings so that the subsequent subtracting of the instant savings merely brings the price back to the retail price.

This issue is happening with many items with instant savings.

On Saturday, the "Original Price" of NIS 2010 3 computers was $69.99 which is this title's retail price. Now it is $79.99 ($69.99 + $10 IS). So, when the $10 IS is subtracted from the now artificially high Orig. Price of $79.99, the blah blah blah

OD.com has been updated to reflect "Your Price" of $59.99 making the item FAR online.

The grand old days of actually getting useful software FAR are apparently gone forever. I don't see myself bothering with any of these. Have been to an OD once in the past year... and they didn't have what I needed. If there's going to be a problem with a rebate, chances are it will be OD in my experience.

I agree. Peachtree rebates are fast and reliable IF you submit everything as required. I've been writing the registration number on the case then photocopying the back of the case which then gives them the serial number, your account number and the registration number on one page. Even w/ that sometimes Paragots sometimes say information is missing but once you let them know its all there, check is in the mail. IMO the best thing about Peachtree rebates is that they are usually paid by check.

If there's going to be a problem with a rebate, chances are it will be OD in my experience.Since OD changed rebate houses several years ago, OD rebates have been rock solid.

That said, most of the rebates are not OD rebates. Many of the rebates are processed by Parago (those rebates that note rebateshq, rebatetrack, encore, etc.):

Peachtree Pro --> rebateshq --> Parago
Mcafee --> mcafeerebates --> Parago
ActiveClean --> bth2 ???
PrintMaster --> Encore --> Parago
Marine Aquarium --> OD but funded by mfr.
Digital TV --> rebatetrack --> Parago
the three Nova Development explosion titles:
- higher value rebate --> OD but funded by mfr.
- lower value rebate --> nova development (not sure if this is in-house or 3rd party)
Punch:
- $30 --> rebatetrack --> Parago
- $10 --> ???
Norton --> symantecrebates --> Parago
Webroot --> rebateshq --> Parago
Trend Micro --> rebateshq --> Parago
AVG --> rebateshq --> Parago
Panda --> rebateshq --> Parago

By the way, Parago is at the top of my list of good rebate houses.

Many people apparently have had no problems getting their rebates. However, please be aware that submitting everything as required like I did does not guarantee everything will go smoothly. My Peachtree Pro $165 rebate has still not arrived after two months even though I submitted everything as instructed. The rebate CSR claimed they never received the rebate and that maybe it was "lost in the mail." I responded by saying I had copies of everything I had sent and I found it hard to believe it was lost in the mail. The CSR responded by saying that they could only accept the original UPC and since the original UPC was lost, they would be unable to process my rebate . I FINALLY made some headway after talking to a rebate supervisor and making clear to them that I followed all the terms and conditions of the rebate and would not accept being refused the rebate because they would not accept the copies of what I had sent. After Faxing copies of everything I submitted to the supervisor, he accepted my documents but I was told it might be another 2 months before I get the rebate.

same here .. my $165 rebate never showed up but the $85 rebate for peachtree first accting was very fast
i emailed them and the first guy said the promotion is now over and there's nothing he can do (ha!)
the second time i emailed, they gave me a new po box address to resubmit my copies to so i'm still waiting to hear

please expand on the tv software. I was interested in that one.

Sorry for the late reply.

I have this software (Digital TV For PC 2) and the number of channels is very limited. Even many free web-sites have more channels (wwitv.com, for instance). Furthermore, most of the sports channels are "not available" most of the time.

I purchased Webroot spysweeper 3pc user online and pick it up in store. No rebates were given to me, which I think is normal for instore pickup. At http://rebateshq.com, I found following:
30$ upgrade rebate, id is 09-13942
Inside the box I only found a $15 rebate form, whose ID is 09-86361. I use this id search in rebateshq website, found 2 rebates associated with Webroot Spy Sweeper 3 User, whose value are 10$ and 25$, 25$ looks like a combine rebate with a pc purchase. 10$ is what is supposed to be. I will send enclosed slip 15$ rebate rather than online 10$ rebate, Therefor, the total will be 45$ rebate and make 5$ finally. Both of 10$ online and 15$ (enclosed slip) asks for original UPC, so cannot be doubl dipped therotically. anybody bought in store can share what printed out in store?

My OD would not accept competitor coupon on software purchase, is that the same everywhere or do OD managers make up rules as they go? In past I have been able to use OMAX/SPLS cpns at this store.

as long as the cpn terms say its valid on software, then you shouldve been able to use it. i would call the 1800 # in the store and ask them what their policy is & then say the mgr is refusing to abide by these policies.

Are the Mcafee rebates valid for purchases in store only? It says from Office Depot, not OfficeDepot.com. Also they have a link in their website for the rebate form but seems broken.

Punch Interior Design has a $30 MIR that comes out of the register and another $10 MIR inside the box but both require an original UPC. Am I missing something??

7% BING Cash Back at OD.com.

The Norton I.S. rebate forms mention buying it at Office Depot, but doesn't mention OD.com. It's been a long time since I've done a Norton rebate, and back then it wasn't a problem. Is that still the case? Also, no mention of a Visa card, so these are cash rebates?

sneakers said: Punch Interior Design has a $30 MIR that comes out of the register and another $10 MIR inside the box but both require an original UPC. Am I missing something??You are the first one to report on this problem.

Could you let us know the complete US Mail address for the $10 in-box rebate. If the rebate number/identifier is not part of the address include that as well. Also, what is the contact number on the $10 rebate?

As to the problem, a couple of options:

1. Presuming there is a contact number on the $10 rebate, call it and explain the problem. There have been such issues in the past where a title has been advertised as FAR after two rebates and both rebates required the same original proof such as original UPC code. Ask to speak to a supervisor if the first level agent is of no help.

2. If no joy with option one, call the contact number on the $30 rebate and follow the instructions for option one.

3. Go back to the store with the opened software and the two rebate forms and talk with the manager on duty. Explain the problem. I have had managers solve such problems in the past by paying out one of the rebates or accepting on open box return. Others have escalated the problem. Most of these double original proof problems were eventually resolved by having one of the two rebates accept a photocopy of the original proof.

4. Call OD customer service 1-800-463-3768. I have never had to do this.

Yes, my most recent "Valid at Office Depot" Symantec-Norton rebate processed by Parago (like these) paid out on a OfficeDepot.com purchase.

And yes, if the rebate does not state the form of payment then I assume it will be a check.

mbient said: I purchased the FAR ActiveClean product from OD on 11/27, and submitted the paperwork on 11/28. I did not receive an email confirming the receipt of my submission, and the only thing provided on the OD Mail-In-Rebate-Form for an after-submission contact, was an email address, which proved to be incorrect. My emails to the incorrect address were returned Undeliverable. The address provided, OfficeDepot.rebate@bth2.com, should have a '_' versus a '.' separating OfficeDepot and rebate, thus - officedepot_rebate@bth2.com. There was no 800# provided.

In my search to find out how to contact bth2, I found that the ActiveClean product was packaged for Office Depot by White Canyon, and the rebate processing house, bth2, is associated with Young America. I still haven't been able to find an 800# that will enable me to confirm that my submission was received, and is being processed.

Does anyone know of an 800# to reach the rebate processor, bth2, or Young America?
Bth2 is affiliated with Young America? How did you find this out? The Young America rebate center has never known to be affiliated with Orem, UT, although BTH2 might enter the rebate data and then send it to YA for payment processing via data import, like Avery does.

I went to bth2.com, and it appears that they may not only be processing the rebate for White Canyon, but also the packaging of the product itself. "White Canyon" and the White Canyon "WipeDrive" software packaging appears in the the sample companies within their slideshow, and the website is divided into sections "BRANDing, ADvertising, PACKaging".

I contacted officedepot_rebate@bth2.com on 12/22, and received this response:

Thank you for your purchase of ActiveClean at Office Depot. We will be reviewing all of the rebates over the next several weeks and will update you regarding your submission at that time. Thank you for your inquiry.
