Read the reviews, I've been told that the Blu-ray edition exacerbates the artifacting that is present on the DVD version due to the low production value of the show. It is a good price, but I'm not sure it's worth the buy. I haven't been able to compare them personally though.

The colors on the Blu-ray are so much better than the DVD that it's not even funny. I have the DVD, but rented the Blu-ray to watch it when it came out. There are one or two episodes that don't look very good on the Blu-ray transfer, but they look just as bad on the DVD IMO. Unfortunately, the first episode is one of these, and I think a lot of reviewers just watched that one to do the review.
The extra roundtable piece with Whedon, Tudyk, Glass, and Fillion is *really* good as well.

I didn't even mention how much better the audio is on this set. I've been waiting for a good price - there are few shows that are worth owning, but this is one I still pop in every once in a while. Might as well pop it in in HD, and gift my DVD set to a deserving friend.
Damn. I picked up and watched the whole series on DVD for $13 at BB last week during the sale. If you can afford the Blu Ray and haven't watched it yet, go for that. It's amazing how crap DVDs look.
Was debating on it since I have the DVD's already, but I recently tried to watch my DVD's on my HDTV with some disappointment on the quality. Ended up pulling the trigger before they ran out. Thanks OP!
So I missed it too, but for some reason I could still order it using the link above. It showed up as the retail price with a $22 discount (attributed to the lightning deal) I could apply on the payment page. Give it a shot - it might still work for you too.
If it doesn't work for you, it's probably because i added it to my cart when the deal was live, then changed my mind and didn't buy it. After the deal was over I changed my mind again, went back, and even though I removed it from my cart, I could re-add it and get the discount.
PS - indecisive you say? Well, I suppose I could be...
