Thanks OP, just picked one up at San Bruno, CA. Guy didn't realize sale started until I showed him the printed out page!

I got one of these 2 or 3 years ago on Black Friday from Sears for the same price and it comes in handy. I needed a smaller one to lug around and this one works great.

If using for car or bike tires, I recommend this Tire Inflator with Gauge from Harbor Freight Text it works very well and usually goes on sale for $4 or $5.

How does this compare to the one from Home Depot that comes with a nailer? What's the difference between 2 and 3 gallons?

Husky 2-Gallon Compressor w/3 Tools - $69.88

I'm not sure what you are talking about. I searched the entire HD site and found nothing. Anyone know anything about this?

Difference is 1 gallon. Check SCFM, this Sear one is 2.4 SCFM @ 90 psi, not a lot of power, good for inflating tires and air beds. Don't know what the Husky puts out, couldn't find the Husky you are referring to on HD page.

I understand 1 gallon difference but what does that mean? 1 minute more use before the compressor kicks in?
It's in the BF add. http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/black-friday-2009/966894?highlig...

Also lowes will have this for $59 on BF.

Just capacity, the Husky will run out sooner and compressor will kick on sooner, but 1 gal isn't a big difference. The ad for the Husky doesn't list it's SCFM. You can always add a spare tank but then the compressor will take that much longer to cycle to fill the extra capacity with the spare tank. I would get the one from Sear's tonight and don't open the box (just in case you want to return) and then buy the Husky from HD on BF. I'd open the Husky compressor first because HD gives you 90 days to return. Then make a choice which one to keep.

mine is the same size and i use framer nail gun. now i am not building house but storage building and shelves. occasinally i ahve to wait but not worth spending several hundred dollars for occassional use. harbor freight has goodyear air hoses and cheap air tools/ chisel/ tire inflator/ blowgun etc..

Here is a $5 Off $50 printable in-store coupon. I signed up with both of my email accounts and the coupon bar code is identical on both coupons I received.

$5 OFF $50

I have this. It works. I've used mine quite a bit. I'd recommend it for minimal use only. It is extremely loud.

Think i paid $99 for this a few years back. Its probably an older version, but same specs. Good for inflating tires, beach toys, blowing off dust or wood chips and maybe an air ratchet.

Just died on me the other day though. Might want to spend a few more bucks for something a little bigger and more durable.

Still a decent price if you can get it for $75.

SCFM Delivery At 40 psi: 3.7 SCFM
SCFM Delivery At 90 psi: 2.4 SCFM

Ear Decibel Rating: 82 decibels

I've abused one of these for years now and the poor thing is still running. I never thought that it would hold up but it has. It's actually been a pretty decent little compressor for what it is and handy to have around. No problems at all with it. For $80 I'd definitely do it again if you have a reasonable use for a small compressor. Don't expect to use it to sandblast (although I have for small parts) or to run a paint gun for hours (although I have) or to run air tools (although I have) or anything else that causes it to run the motor to death trying to keep up (although I have lol). For tires, nailer, blowing things off, airbrushing, it's fine. It is on the loud side but about like all of the rest of them.
