Please explain how I would distinguish between 12am "Eastern" time and 12am "Western" time in that harebrained system.

I just did a quote for a $595 refurb laptop and 1 year warranty is $99.00. It's expensive!

Squaretrade warranties for refurbished electronics are usually high. They don't know if the item in question is factory refurbished, repackaged by the distributor and called "refurbished", etc. They are gambling that there is a good chance that the customer will use the warranty and thus why it is higher than for new electronics.

The warranty I was quoted for an XBOX 360 looks the same. What product price did you check?
