The presale also started in stores if you don't want to pay shipping costs. Also if some of you are regular customers at gucci might want to check your mail for a card to save an additional 10% on your entire purchase at the Gucci x Unicef event.
Not thread crapping so no crying., please. Bought my wife a fair number of GENUINE cartier bags & doodads on eBay a few years ago-- She lived in Paris for years and we can affords nice things, but I'm not paying retail for this stuff- and more fakes showing up, so I quit buying them. So we came up with a new solution after she saw a Gucci crocodile bag for $10k+ she loved here in NYC. Took a slew of pictures, and brought them to a high-end shoe and bag maker in Bogota when we go. Result: gorgeous, near perfect perfect copy in caiman (crocodile)- maybe even better workmanship, frankly, except that that the hardware is not quite as perfect when you look closely, but I'm a professional coin dealer and off the charts picky when it comes to metal fabrication. Cost $600 for a big bag- put a pair of size 13 Timberland boots in it to see. Small bag would have been half that. Liked it so much had the woman make me half a dozen custom (US money is larger than Colombian money) croc wallets for less than $50 each, and a fine leather laptop backpack with rip stop nylon interior and custom gadget pockets I designed for $150.
Only thing I couldn't get was boots. They don't have the mold for sizes bigger than 11-folks are smaller down there than here.
If you are heading that way, shoot me a note and I'll give you the shop info.
If you know of any other specific shops that do this quality of workmanship, let me know.

My wife has a number of these and other designer bags/clothes/shoes/whatever. I don't see what's so special about these designer stuff. a $20 target/WalMart bag looks just as good to me, and is just as useful or perhaps even more useful than one of these.
But, she lets me buy whatever vehicles and electronic toys I want, so I can't complain when she wants to get some more designer stuff.
Thanks OP for posting this sale. I'll let her know.
so this one just for u http://www.bagborroworsteal.com lovingdanielhenney said: Wow, nice bags, but have to wait for years before actually own one. Thanks for spreading the info., though!
Was debating on 2 styles and pulled the trigger today. A few styles are cheaper from 12/17 to 12/26 only. They are also now offering free ground shipping. It won't make it here for Christmas but it's my gift to myself (paid for by the husband)
