WinX DVD Ripper Platinum is the fastest DVD ripping software to convert DVDs to popular video and audio formats, including AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG, MP4, 3GP, MP3 and much more. Besides, it also enables you to transfer the DVD movies to portable devices such as iPhone, iPod, Apple-TV, PSP, PDA, Zune, Mobile phone and so on.
NO, this is not a true DVD ripper. If you want to RIP your DVDs to the hard drive as MPEG2/VOB, this program will NOT do it. If you want to transcode , this program won;t do it either. DVD Fab 6 / Any DVD / DVD Fab decrypter + DVd shrink will not only do it faster, they will do it, period.
This winX "dvd ripper" is basically a converter from DVD to media player formats, and it even has problems at that. The decryuption of protected DVds is also veyr weak. The files created using winX would never play in the Philips SA6185 (by the way, thanks FW on the SA6185 )

Just out of curiosity I downloaded this WinX DVD Ripper a minute ago. I installed it and dropped a DVD in the tray. I clicked one of the output buttons, hit Start, and it crashed immediately. Rebooted, tried it a few more times, same exact thing. I'm running Vista x64 on a Core i7 with 6gb RAM, so I don't think the problem was my setup. But who knows?

All of our software is distributed as shareware. You can install and try them for 30 days. During this evaluation period, the software is fully functional. To continue using the software after the 30-day evaluation period, you should pay a registration fee.
Does dvdfab still work after 30 days trial??

it is FREE, not fake free_but_not_really_shareware/trialware
I dl and installed it today, core 2 laptop w/ XP pro. Insterted a DVD and selected AVI,then MPG4, and finally wmv. Created all 3 formats (wanted to see final size and quality of each format). All 3 seem to have worked just fine (.wmv was smallest). I had a previous giveaway installation of the non platinium version but when I tried to use it for this test it repeatedly caused an "MS ecountered an error and...", so I uninstalled the regular and tried this one. Bottom line, worked ok for me.
