It is time for the December 2009 All-Clad seconds sale. As always, it is held at the Washington County Fairgrounds, just south west of Pittsburgh, PA, off of I-79. The sale will only be held for two days, December 4 & 5.
The dates and times are: Friday, December 4, 2008: 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Saturday, December 5, 2008: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Directions to the grounds and contact information, are here.
You can also shop online at Crate, or visit the Crate store located in the Greentree Road Shopping Center in Pittsburgh. Click here for Crate's sale information.
You can find some great deals, but be prepared to fight the crowd and spend time inspecting the items. In the past, they have also had bargains on Emerilware, as well as utensils.
Dress warm and expect a crowd. In the past they have taken cash, checks, and credit cards. You can call All-Clad at 1-800-255-2523 to inquire. (Edited to add expiration.)
I get jealous every time I see this sale posted on FW. I wish I were closer or that it were cost effective to get out there during one of these sales. I'll just have to live vicariously through the rest of you.

When will CrateCook.com have the site up where we can purchase online? I'm about to purchase a set of All-Clad, but can wait a few more days if these discounts are going to be available soon!
Ah, beat me to it, Anna. I'm heading up to Pittsburgh tomorrow and will be at the sale bright and early on Friday. I've purchased a couple pots, lids, and a skillet there so far -- great deals and huge selection, assuming you don't get there at the end of the sale.
Does Crate have the same deals as the fairgrounds sale? I just noticed that it'll be more convenient to me than Washington.
Fivetalents - You'll have to make a trip for a mini-vacation when they have the June sale. It is usually the first weekend of the month.
AssocCities - I would imagine that the online sale will be this coming weekend, corresponding with the in-store sale. I know that their schedule lists Sunday as a sale day as well, but the All-Clad calendar only lists Friday and Saturday.
DaytonDealer - The fairgrounds is much larger than the Crate store, so I can't imagine that Crate would have the same quantity available. However, I do wonder if the stock they have to sell will be the items with fewer blemishes. On the other hand, they continuously restock the fairgrounds supplies. When I was there, I saw them bringing over loads from the factory. It is all a matter of how much time one has to spend there. If you can, why not check out Crate first, then head down 79S to the fairgrounds. You just never know what you'll find at one of these sales. Dress warm.

What's that you say? I can stay at your house? Aw shucks! That's so sweet of you

Wow, that really speaks to how high All-Clad's standards are. If they have so many seconds that are good enough that folks wait for this sale every year, they must use VERY strict standards for actually what makes it to the retail stores.
I live just outside of Washington, PA, but have never made the sale. Can someone give me an idea of just how good the deals are? Is it worth braving the elements?

Since All-Clad is rarely on sale, especially for a wide selection of items, it's worth the braving the elements especially if you're looking for something specific or even if you just want to get some good cookware for a very good price.
If you're happy with something like RevereWare, then maybe you don't need to bother. Consider All-Clad an investment because you won't have to buy new pots and pans once you have these.

For people that can't make the sale, check your local Marshalls. I've seen All-Clad stuff there on numerous occasions (Maryland and New York so far). Most of the stuff has a scratch or two, but they're priced accordingly ($25 for a pristine lidless saucepan!)

I've seen All-Clad at Marshall's in numerous states (including GA, LA, IL, MD, PA & NY). Like everything else, the stock is inconsistent, but if you keep checking back you will see all sizes of fry pans, sauce pan, and stock pots in both stainless steel and LTD. It's harder to find other items such as woks, bakeware, utensils etc., but it's worth checking regularly for the occasional treasure and the discounts are definitely better than any retail sale I've ever seeen.

Wow...I wish I lived nearby... Good luck to everyone who makes it!
If you're looking for All-Clad cookware, consider cookwarenmore. My family and I have bought All-Clad stainless factory "irregulars" from them numerous times in the past 15 years.....excellent prices for pots/pans that have yet to find a flaw with (making it "irregular"). Also, the All-Clad cookware is covered under the mfr's warranty.
From the website: "The All-Clad bakeware and cookware that we sell, unless otherwise noted, are factory irregulars. This means that they have minor visual imperfections that occurred during manufacturing and do not interfere with the performance and long life of the item." "Your purchase at Cookware & More includes the All-Clad conditional lifetime factory warranty covering functional manufacturing defects."
Off topic, but I've also bought Wusthof "irregular" knives with the same great experience.
The way I see it, my pots/pans will develop "imperfections" with use anyway so if I get one with a slight scratch, big deal (at these prices). Maybe we've just been lucky but, so far in our experiences - can't tell the difference between these and flawless regulars so the prices are tough to beat.

This link will give you an idea of what to expect:
The building has a solid surface floor. According to the calendar, the sale will be in building one this year. I am sure they will have a handicapped parking area. It may be worth calling them to be sure, though.
Bumping as a reminder. Happy bargains to those who are going!
