The topic says it all...

10% with the Sears card and 8% with the Bing

Link to Sears

I was seriously looking at this deal until I read the horror stories in the FW Sears feedback. If the price could actually be $909, I'd be on this. I'd like to hear if anyone has picked on of these up from Sears, and how it went.

Hi all,
I browsed the ad on searscom and it seems to suggest that 10% Sears card Cash Back available only for in store purchase. Has anybody purchased online and still got the 10% Cash Back?

I used my Sears card for a recent online appliance purchase and recieved (5% off at the time) I was unable to get bing cb. I was unsure if this was due to getting an auto discount using my Sears card or something else.

This looks like it may be a good deal. Unsure how much better the g10 model is. None of the other panasonic tv sets seem to have a great price this week. I would pull the trigger on this although I think a 54" may be too big...

It did not appear with the order, but a simple call to the 800 # and they adjusted it. The customer service person stated that the 10% discount was not working correctly on line and that they needed to adjust a ton of orders.

There is no way you will get 8% BING for this. You will get 2% if you're lucky. Bing specifically states 2-8% at Sears, and it's 2% on electronics, not 8%. And many others have not received any Bing because of Sears messed up site/affilliate program.

So a huge YMMV.

8% CashBack for bing showed up in Cart ($87.99) I took a screen shot and saved it, just in case there is an issue.

Mizer1, That 8% showed up in you Sears cart? What am I doing wrong?

Ed

I always got the max amount from Sears whether it was 8% or 16% just make sure it says "8%" when you move from Bing to Sears from the bing website.

Yes, I manged to get both the Bing 8% CashBack and 10% off Sears credit after a phone call to Sears rep. Painless.

I totally disagree. In the past, just had to email bing customer service with a PDF of the bing 8% CashBack page and I was credited in no time.
However, this time around the CashBack amount is actually showing in your cart just before the final checkout page.

Clear your cookies and start over from bing. Type "craftsman" in the bing search box.

Be sure you scroll down far enough when you view your cart...its at the bottom of my screen.

I ordered it online and called the 800# for adjustment. How does the bing Cash Back show up in the cart? It was mentioned as 8% somewhere. Is there a way we can check if bing has the transaction? Can you please post the screen shot?

-Thanks

Great deal, OP! Now if I just had a room big enough for a 54 incher....LOL!

I picked up the 50" version of this set from Sears several months ago. It was painless. After I got confirmation it was in stock, I stopped by, scanned my receipt into their machine and it started a countdown (5 minutes I think) that showed up on an overhead monitor. They had to bring it out by the deadline or I would get something (like a $5 coupon). They did, the guy helped me load it into the SUV and I drove off. No problems.

Be sure you have a vehicle that can fit the set though, it is huge. I brought a friend's Lexus GX SUV which I think is pretty large and it barely fit, I don't know if I could have fit the 54" in it.

I sure do want to buy this. Closing on a new house in a week and just can't do it right now.

Okay, you proved me wrong .. for now. But the key is you must do a search for Craftsman on BING and click through just like how the eBay deal works. If you click through the normal BING Shopping/Stores link it only shows 2-8% on the confirmation popup going to Sears, then does NOT integrate with Sears' website so there is no confirmation once you're there you will get anything.

Good deal.. I have the 2007 42" and the 2008 50" both 720's and they're awesome sets. So tempted on this one but I dont need 3 sets.

Thanks that worked. Had to cancel the first order because the 8% bing did not show up. Just finished picking up and setting up my new TC-P54S1.

where do you get the 10% off with Sears card?
edit: nvm figured it out

After three phone calls to Sears and with much frustration. The latest person told me that Bing cash is not honored by Sears (I have my printout showing the Bing amount on my order summery) and that I would not receive the additional 10% because that was a applied when I bought the TV for $1099. The real joke is that, she stated that I had gotten the 10% off when I purchase the set for $1099. She was trying to convince me that the $700 savings was really the 10% markdown????????? I tried to ask her what type of math that she was using to figure that out but that kind of went over her head.

The way it stands now, my problem is being forwarded to the off line resolution department. In the end either I get the discounts or the TV set goes back!!

Is that possible to PM with www.us-appliance.com for 10% off?

Thanks OP. I just picked up one tonight. It's huge compare to my 42 SamSung. Same here, some jerk told me that 10% won't work because there was already a big mark down. It sounds just like he personally did the mark down only for me. His supervisor also said the same thing & told me to call SearsCard to get that 10% . I called back later and a nice lady gave me the 10% discount.

3.5 % tax in The North Brunswick, NJ store

So what's the deal with the Sears Card 10% and Bing CB? Are they both YMMV or just the Bing? If so, maybe it would be safer to go with FatCash?

I did exactly what you described. I still couldn't get the 8% to show on the Sears.com order page. Do I need to click on "place order" to confirm the order then see the 8%?

Thank you for your help

I got the Bing 8% to show up but not the 10% off for using the Sears MC, so I did an online chat with Sears and they said they would give me the 10% credit, so I then placed the order and asked for an e-mail confirmation for the credit. They stated they could not do that, but assured me I would get the credit. We will see.

Is this better than Panasonic 54" Plasma HDTV (Model #TC-P54G10) which is on sale on BF at Sears for $999.99

That model Panasonic 54" Plasma TC-P54G10 is $1499.99 as far as I know

can you explain how you did?

Hot deal!! But I don't have a Sears card. If i apply for it now and get approved, will I be able to use it immediately?

cohcoh said: Hot deal!! But I don't have a Sears card. If i apply for it now and get approved, will I be able to use it immediately?Instore, yes, online, no; not until you get a physical card. The register instore will print out a barcode for instore scanning only and cannot be used online for purchases.

Where did you see this model for that price?

Thanks. That is a high end model, IIRC.

Here but obviously there is a typo there. the actual price is $1499.99 as shown here.

I failed.

I thought that the 10% discount for Sears had to do with applying for a new credit card and your first purchase was 10% off.

Duh. I screwed up.

The 10% off is for using your existing Sears credit card.

I applied for one last night. But I will not get it in time for these on line deals.

You can purchase this with an AMEX Card (doubling the warranty) than trying to save $100 by using a store card with no such coverage. This card also covers for accidental damage and theft for 90 days.

okay

so I can get the 8% Bing Cash Back

and use my AMEX card...

or wait another 7 days until I get my Sears Citi card.

What do you think?

Will this $1100 price be available next week? Will Bing be 8% next week?

what should I do?

That depends if you "need" it now or just "want" it.
Personally, I would buy it with AMEX just for the peace of mind.

Skipping 12 Messages...

Anybody else still waiting for their P54S1 from this deal?

I ordered it on 11/28 and had to choose home delivery since they were sold out in all the local stores. My online order still shows as 'pending' and my expected delivery date says 'in process'. I've contacted Sears CS a few times and each time they tell me that the delivery is scheduled for 12/9 and that somebody will be contacting me on 12/8 (today) to schedule the timeing of the delivery. No call yet, but I'm still hopefull.

.... also noticed that the P54S1 isn't even listed on Sears.com any longer. Looks like they won't be getting more after these are gone. I'm hoping they still have 1 with my name on it somewhere.
