Isnt this the older version that does NOT support the network..
yep no network hookup = junk

While it is true that this is the older version w/ no network connection, I wouldn't call it junk. These are great gifts for the technologically challenged in the family. Just connect....no fuss, no muss.

It supports network with hacked firmware and USB LAN adapter from post #2

This is a steal for 50 bucks if you don't need networking and DTS downmixing support. WD is still supporting this model with current firmware updates. (about 7 to date)

Third party firmware allows use of networking if you're a geek.

Where can I find(or buy) $25 off $75 coupon?

You can buy $25 off $75 from e junkie here is the statistics
WDTV HD MEDIA PLAYER 89.90
- Instant discount 15.00
Total 74.90
You have to add something to your order to make it $75 then only the coupon $25 off $75 will be applied.

it doesn't specifically say avchd support?

yes it does! It plays back my canon HF100 videos just fine with its latest firmware update.

Can i combine $25 off $75 coupon with Staples rewards coupon?

thank you for that info

I can't find an eBay seller that ships the coupon out instantly. Can anyone help? Please PM.

Cool, just used a $25/$75 Staples emailed to me that will expire 11/28. Just in time! $51 total cost after CashBack! -

Yes you can stack 2 of them together (just did)

Just a little too slow myself. Placed the order and didn't notice it had dropped out of my cart because the total was right. Got the confirmation and only my filler items were there along with a $9.95 shipping. Called quickly to cancel. Thanks anyway OP. The fact that this went OOS so quickly is proof that it was a great deal.

More like, convenient for the technologically savvy. Most people using this will not be technologically challenged.
