Isn't this the 720p one available here? If not, can you link me to the 1080p set?

Thanks for this find. I bought this TV at WalMart on 11/4 for $498. What's their policy on a price match, of a pr previously purchased product? Will they give me the difference, when I purchased it 2 1/2 weeks ago.
I could order it & use the original receipt to just refund it in full. I'd appreciate your input.

That isn't going to work if it has to be registered with a serial number when purchased. Rather, a credit card with built in price matching would be better.

In for the 42 in Samsung with 10% bing. Thanks OP!
I agree, I have been previously told by WalMart employees that the B&M stores do not price match WalMart.com. I am not sure if this is the official policy or if the employee was just lazy. I would buy it again and return the new one, but I guess it depends on their return policy for electronics. That is if it is 15 days or not...

It purchased at the electrics department.I'd be using the same credit card for both purchases? Can you clarify? thanks

He was stating that every TV has a unique ID that might be recorded at the time of purchase. If they record that unique ID, then you probably wont be able to return the first TV using the second receipt.

Look at your receipt. Electronics usually have serial numbers on the receipt at WalMart now.

thanks!... this is useful for anyone who wants to save the taxes and don't feel like waiting for the bing CashBack
It also means that this deal is really nothing special given that this is the regular price at Amazon.

They told us they had a 30day return policy & you had to keep the box. We are quite please with the picture we get on it.
I'm soooo tempted on the 50" Plasma. Can anyone tell me if there is a glare issue? I'm looking for a tv in my master bedroom which has a lot of windows. From what I've seen and read, there is more glare on Plasma's vs. LCD's. I have a lot of natural light so I'm wondering what would be better along with angle viewing. I don't plan on putting an angle arm mount. I prefer a flush mount. Thanks....

Can you clarify? thanksSometimes when buying electronics, the receipt also lists the serial number (or some other identifying code) specific to that unit. This is so people don't buy a product just to turn around and return a broken unit demanding a refund. I'm not sure if WalMart's receipt links the purchase to that exact unit.
EDIT: Oops, did not see a Page 2 with the answer posted.
You'll likely notice "judder" with the 1080p 60Hz, and you're losing resolution that you may later wish you had with the 720p. I checked-out TVs at Sears and WalMart over the weekend and many of the panels do have noticeable "judder" problems.
If either of those things bother you, then go with a 1080p '600Hz' plasma or a 1080p 120Hz or 240Hz LCD.
