unless you have photos on pc already. I made a book with all 20 page photos ,no text and got it done in 5 mins. you could add text at home like a scrapbook.

not sure if this will help, but it uses Java. do you have java installed?
The way I did it was start uploader, then Control + (A)ll in the folder with pictures, I looked through them after uploading rather than go through them on pc.
Still worked for me 10 minutes ago. Got order confirmation email also.

Doesn't seem to be working now. I keep getting this message: "An error has occured. Please correct before continuing. The daily allowable number of transactions for this license key has been exceeded."

I was afraid that would happen.

Tried few more times and finally got it to work! And yes, I spent all day making this photo book. The site was painfully slow. I didn't even have the patience to wait for the final proof to load before ordering...well, it's free, can't complain!
Just placed my order after 2 hours of uploading pics and building the album. I hope it works after this long time because of slowest website in the world

I was finally able to order a book with a front back cover & a few photos (would never show up after repeatedly add photos) Guess I'll have to glue em in after I receive the book, but hey totally free! I'm not complaining. Thanks so much for the heads-up.

I got that message, too, but I tried right away and it went through. I would not risk waiting 'til morning due to the 25,000 limit, if I were you.
It took me around 90 minutes and it was confirmed by email right away.
I think there servers are just overloaded. My order just went through (in the middle of the night). If you wait until morning, they might be swamped again.

I made the mistake of not proofing it before I ordered it. I made a book for my sister and her husband who just got married 3 days ago. I took some of their wedding pics, and I put their name on the front, but realized after I ordered it that I spelled their last name wrong! Talk about a stupid mistake. But hey, it was free. They are the type of people who will find it really funny.

Ordered one last night @ 1am. I might try to order another one tonight with a new account and different shipping address. Hopefully the deal is still alive by night. I won't do the editing during the day as the server was really slow. I simply select a bunch of relavant photo during the day and upload to a new album, and then do the editing at night.
ForSpud said: Still works as of 2:52pm PDT. It does take a bit of patience for the java/book to load. After almost 30 minutes of trying and waiting, I think I'm throwing in the towel. I just could not get past the upload photos button at all. It kept freezing. Maybe later.
Took me like 5 hours to upload pics and finish designing it. Here's some tips:
- Be patient. It's a slow server on this site. - Make sure the java applet is enabled - Upload only about 10 pics at a time... every time i did more, it would hang and I'd have to start all over - Be patient. It'll take a while if you're not going to use the auto format feature.
Otherwise, got my confirmation. Completed order about a half hour ago.
Haha, these are gonna be some tacky thrown together books - with everyone rushing to beat the coupon clock, no telling what they are going to look like!
Just did mine. Luckily, I had done another one recently, so it didn't take too long.

Due to popular demand, the promotion has reached its maximum limit. View current coupon codes for additional savings. Just Got that after 2 hours Of Making My book......
just got done placing an order and was able to successfully use the code... 12:30AM Pacific... Took long enough... Painfully long process if you have to make edits since you may encounter error page multiple times like I did... was working on explorer as someone suggested, but in the end finished it up with firefox. oh, code is courtesy of bonnie hunt show, btw... she featured their book by showing an example of one they did with adopted dogs from the show.
Thanks OP, did this around midnight last night EST.
I scanned a bunch of 35mm slides as my source material, and unfortunately every one of their page layout options crops the photos in some way. I could not overcome this by reducing the image size with their page editor (very limited adjustment possible with their system). This made some of my more tightly-shot images completely unusable. Guess I shouldn't complain, given the price.
Due to the overwhelming response to the free book offer featured on the Bonnie Hunt show, we have experienced site delays and problems. Our technical teams are working to resolve these issues ? we still have available coupon capacity so we ask that you try again to create your book with us.

Pretty amazing how many people watch the Bonnie Hunt show.

Yeah, there selection of templates is very poor. They all seem to be designed for P&S camera photos. SLR photos are usually wider and the edges get cropped off.
You may need to Photoshop your own 11.5x8.5 inch page composition and upload them page by page instead of photo by photo.
