Wow, at my hometown Ace, that should bring the price down to what everyone else sells it for, maybe even a little less! (Yes, it's true...I once wanted to buy a vacuum cleaner their website had, but the local store charged more than 40% more ...they pointed to the 'prices may vary' clause and didn't seem to see any problem with charging that much more than their own site).
Agree 100% with s002cjs. The ACEs mark up the prices so high that after 50% you will be close to what you pay at other stores for most items. I have used this 50% before that comes in their flyers sometimes and its difficult to find a worthwhile deal in their store. But, thanks OP. May be I will be lucky this time

While they're not the best, the Ace Hardware stores around here have a knife case with some "frost cutlery" style chinese made knives (and others) in it.
My local ACE has only one chinese knife in the case, but other ACEs have more of a selection.
I think that this may be a way to use the coupon.
As always, YMMV based on driving conditions and personal preferences.
Anyone know if the shop vac they have listed on the front of the sale is on sale or not? They have it listed for $30 with a $10 MIR. If $30 isnt' a sale price and the $10 off MIR is the deal then we should be able to get $5 shop vacs.
If not I think I'm going to buy a bag of charcoal.
Well Ace succeeded at irritating me. I went there knowing they charge high $20's for a microplane grater. Walked in, Found the selection there on the racks, ... ... What's the emoticon for smoke rising out of your ears while you stew? They marked them up BY HAND to $34.99. Gee I wonder why?

Not sure which graters you're interested in, but have you checked acehardwareoutlet.com? I know they have some of the Professional Series graters for $13 with free shipping.
You can find some stuff at Ace that is not too out of line on pricing. Especially individual hand tools. I picked up some 12" Channel Locks for under $9 with tax. You can still score some US-made Vise Grips, as many stores still have old stock. You can get you a nice Estwing hammer for 12 bucks or so with that coupon.
picked up 100ft extension cord (originally $27.99) with the 50%, and also some additional power strips/extenders that were on sale thanks to circular. brilliant guy up front tried to use the 50% coupon on the cheapest thing, then said couldnt be used b/c it was on sale. i kindly pointed out the extension cord that was regular price, and the guy reluctantly scanned the coupon for it.
i know it eats away at your profit margins and all, but whats with the attitude on a national coupon? take it out on your national division for issuing such a nice coupon (even with restrictions).

Snow shovel here.
May go back tonight for a large bottle of Round-Up or some sort of electrical device.
One of the reasons why a lot of these Ace Hardware stores tend to deny the coupons is because they are individually owned, and the owners don't like taking losses on coupon sales, or matching prices either.. Which is why I prefer to shop at places that won't try to hassle you about a simple coupon - like HD/Lowes.

Picked up a Bemis toilet seat for $11.xx plus tax. Amazon sells it for $24.xx. Wanted the soft close seat but the price was $34.99 which does not apply to the coupon. Next time.

Ace was closed over by me @ 7 so I headed to 2 HD and 2 Lowes. Both HD and 1 Lowes store took the print out of coupon. Thanks OP.
