From a Newegg review: Xenoleum said: Excelstor makes this and Hitachi drives. It's a good drive at a low price. Quiet, quick, solid. It does get a little warm, not "hot" (like a WD ATA/100). Does what it's supposed to and does it well. Easily as good as any in its class. They MAKE the Deskstars, don't let the newness of the name fool you, it IS a good deal. DOES NOT HAVE THE JUMPER FOR SATA150!!! 3G or NOTHING.
Would only let me check out 2 drives. Put these puppies on Raid 0 and enjoy the speed. Great for the drive that gets thrashed around a lot like you download folder, if it fails, I just replace it.
