mine too. Office max do that most of time. They say price mistake !!!??? How?? Also they mentioned that original price is $149 for 500 gb. This is the 5th time happened to me. I don`t believe their hot deals. I think they try to get people`s attention. Anyway
Best deal for BF was the same price, so this save me a trip to Target (WD Passport 500GB).
Edit: Looks like Sunnyvale already all out. Better hurry for those who want to get in on this.

Nearly the same price after tax/gas and better for those who don't want to make the drive.

No good reviews for Simpletech
Some people say it has a Western Digital drive inside. Others say Hitachi drives. Which is it? If it's Hitachi, then it's definetely not as reliable judging from the former Hitachi Deskstar (aka deathstar) drives.

A year or so ago, they closed out the 250gb drives, I bought 6 of them, the little controller board was terrible in these and likely the reason for bad reviews, I had 2 of them go out and I only use 2 as external drives, and one hasn't been opened yet! I suspect that is the reason for the bad reviews. the drive were 3 WD scorpio(?) drives and 2 Hitachi and one unopened, so they use a mix. All are still working fine.
FWIW - if these are the same cases(and they look like it) they can be open from the side oppisite the security tape and the drive removed. So likely you could keep the case and do a warranty return if the drive failed. it's a press fit, just run your fingernail along the seem.
