I've done business with Bob & Ron's World Wide Stereo before and have been very pleased.

They are offering the LG BD-370 for $129 with free shipping only. Excellent reviews on Amazon.

sorry..this was a reply to you..

Quick question...I like this player but this still requires a WIRED internet connection correct? Do you guys have an ethernet connection close by? I mean...my router is in my office and the only place I'll use this player is my living room. I'm wondering how others are connecting to this player. I'm assuming the modem is nearby?

I have the same question.

Yea...I'm just wondering are people keeping these players near their modems?

I find the bd-390 worth the premium due to the integrated wireless....

There was a $50 off sale with Amazon credit card. Everyone else paid #139. Same as Newegg/bb/etc.

Yeah, a code that SAID it was good until 12/31/09, but says it expired when you try to use it now.

I have a DLink DAP-1522 4 port 802.11n access point in both my family room and master bedroom. Those feed a HTPC, PS3 and an internet radio ready receiver in my family room, and will be feeding one of these players (I ordered one today) and eventually a Popcorn Hour in my bedroom. Those connect to my DLink DIR-655 802.11n router connected to Verizon FIOS in my home office. I'm curious how well the Netflix function works.

you can also pay with paypal and potentially take advantage of the Bill Me Later promotion.

In my case my FiOS router is right next to my TV in the bedroom, so it worked out great for me.

Ok, that makes sense but you still don't have a DIRECT ethernet connection to a modem in your FR...you are still using 802.11n and not a wired Ethernet from modem to router to device. I'm curious on how the Netflix streaming is with the Wifi speeds....

I still want the 390 for the integrated...less devices in the family room

I curious as well however 802.11N should give me real world wireless speeds of between 2 and 10x the speed of my 20mb FIOS connection depending on the traffic at home so wireless shouldn't be a bottle neck. But I'd feel better if LG included a gig or two of storage for buffering the stream. If all else fails the Popcorn Hour w/1.5TB HD I have planned for my bedroom can take over that duty.

I don't blame you a bit. That's a really clean way to go as long as you only need the one device. But I've taken the time to rip my CD collection to FLACs on a central server and access them via wireless so one shared hub/bridge at each location makes better sense for me.
