Coupon and BING CB don't mix! BING terms and conditions doesn't allow coupons to be used! You are playing with fire!
I don't see anything about a coupon. There is a $30 rebate. Are you saying that will invalidate the Bing Cash Back, or vice versa? Are you talking about the "Offer cannot be combined with any other offer, promotion or discount and is limited to FIVE per product" on the rebate? That's pretty standard, but I've done plenty of rebate + Cash Back deals before with no issue.
Anyone else have any experiences to share?
Bottom line is, I'd pay $130 for this drive, but not $144.

Darn, just bought the 1.5TB Seagate for ~$90. Oh well, no rebate hassle is worth not having the extra .5TB. It'll drop to that price when I do need one that size anyway.

Note that the rebate comes back in an (annoying) Visa card, not a check.

you can get either the Samsung or WD 1.5TB drives for $90 - 10% BCB = $81
The Samsung is $33 cheaper, slightly cheaper per GB (5.4 vs 5.7 cents), has no rebate hassles and is only 3 platters vs 5 platters for the hitachi and runs at 5400 vs 7200 (hopefully quieter and more reliable albeit slower)
on the other hand having the extra 500gb on one drive can be handy

how do you know if you get the BCB? Once in checkout, the Bing session does not show on the top? Is there a mail confirmation?

on the final page there should be two checkboxes at the bottom
one to agree to Newegg's terms and conditions (unchecked by default)
and one to agree to Bing's terms and conditions (checked by default)
I got the retail boxes today. Sounds like a Newegg botch if you got bare drives.
According Ricardo at the rebate firm: if you ordered multiple drives, use a single form, single envelope, attach all UPC's to the form. And photocopy everything of course. Maybe if we get lucky, they'll send a single Visa card. Or better still, a check.
is this the same as the 2tb hitachi dk7saa200, hds722020ala300? Because i ordered one from Dell and it came up as a 1tb and wrong part number compared to the online warranty check thing. So I did a warranty exchange and this one looks way cleaner than the one i bought but now when im transferring files to it it rattles like if the disc inside is not spinning correctly or something. Is anyone experiencing the same problem or is it just me and my luck? Dont tell me i have to return it again and wait another 2 weeks.
