and, as usual, (this is my 3rd time in the past couple of days) - if you use the Discover card, you lose the extra year of warranty that you get with other credit cards (although, I must admit, for a $50 device without any moving parts, it is probably not a bad bet).

Darn it! I just missed it! I bought the 340s from target.com successfully though. I also want to buy a Garmin Nuvi 255w.
I wanted to use and test the tomtom ONE 140 tomtom One 340s and the Garmin Nuvi 255w and keep the "best" out of the three.
