As an FYI, the phenolic knob on this dutch oven limits the max recommended oven temp to 400 degrees. If you replace it with a metal one, you can raise this limit to 450 or even 500 under the right conditions (specifically avoiding the "thermal shock" of fast temperature changes). If the temperature limit isn't an issue for you, don't worry about it. If temperature is an issue, you can get a replacement knob made made/sold by Le Creuset. Cook's Illustrated stated that a 3/8-inch-diameter, 3/4-inch-long machine screw would be required to make this work on the thicker Tramontina and an Amazon review of the Le Creuset knob recommended a #10-32x3/4" machine screw for use with the Tramontina dutch oven . While you're at Home Depot or Lowes etc looking for that, browse the metal knobs and you might find something you can use. One user on the Cook's Illustrated web site looked and decided on this Liberty 50 MM Small Birdcage Oval Knob, so that might be worth considering.
