How has the general experience been w/ Uniden "like New" refurbs.?
Parents could use this, I have some Uniden multi-handset phones that are pretty good.

Thanks OP. I just ordered one.

Even better than Black Friday deal. It's $4 cheaper and comes with free headset. No shipping or tax to AZ. N 4 1

Green for you. In for one, great deal especially if the free headset ships. Dont know if it will as there was no mention in the cart about the promotion. Any thoughts?

Update, just noticed this on my emailed reciept.

1 NEW HS910BPB $ 0.00

Thanks, in for 2

I ordered two.

The EZX290 is the only handset that is compatible to add to the base unit.

Thanks OP, in for 1.

Got one. Thanks OP!

in 4 1. Thanks OP!!

Ordered one Thanks.
For anyone wondering... it's free shipping

anyone know how the handset sync works?

I read 1 base can handle 6 handsets, but I would like to buy 3 of these, use 1 base connected to my phone line and then use 2 bases just as handset chargers.

One thing that worried me in the manual was that it said handsets COULD sync just by putting them in the base, what isn't clear is if they auto-resync when put in the base. It looks like you can manually force register a handset to another base, the question is, do they stay registered even if you charge in a different base, anyone know for certain?

In 4 one, Uniden makes the BEST cordless phones.

I can't say for certain about this model, but I have another Uniden phone that works exactly the way you describe. I have 3 "base" units, but I have them all registered to one base and use the other 2 bases as chargers only. Works fine. If I remember correctly, they will only auto-register if you put them in a special mode before seating them in the base.

Yes, you can do this no problem. The phone has to be in registration mode to switch bases.

There are some other pretty good deals on the Uniden website. DECT2180-2 29.99

Was wondering.. Does the extra handset come with a charging cradle ? It would suck to have to charge both handsets on the base unit !!

So if I need 2 handsets (don't really need the headsets), just order 2 and the second will act as only a charger correct?? The location of my second phone now has no phone line access...

Comes with extra headset.. Not handset.. I misread originally also..

But that goes for 49.99 and is not available...

Crap.. i misread it.. thought it was extra handset

I have a feeling we are not the only ones who misread.. Still a great deal though..

I want to get 2 units - one basestation (being discussed here) and the other just the instrument with charger.

Should i buy 2 of these? Will it serve my needs - one in living room and the other in kitchen/bedroom?

The accessory shown is $30 or $40 and am not interested in those.

In for 2.. Gotta be able to get them to work together... If not, will gift one..

Thankyou OP!!

For those wondering about registering a second handset, read the first one star review on the linked above page.
You just hold down the FLASH/EXIT and the POUND keys. Select BASE UNAVAILABLE. Confirm. That should then allow you to put the phone into the base cradle and -- VOILA! -- it should now REGISTER.

Now # 35 on waiting list

???

My order just went through. I figured for $16 it wasn't a huge gamble even though no one weighed in re the quality of Uniden stores refurb "like new" units.

what is this for elderly or something?

Or anyone w/hearing aid, hearing problems and/or vision problems. Or if you like your home phone bigger (Clunkier??, like 1990 cordless phone size) than most that are sold today.

I'm 279 on the list. Too bad, need one for my mother-in-law in the home.

Thankyou! After reading this info and rereading the previous posts it makes sense now.. Looks good!

DAMN. I really need a cordless speakerphone. missed out again...#348

Awesome! Thanks for the info, that seals the deal for me. I thought the extra bases would work as charger only, just couldn't tell 100% from the stinkin manual!

Item is back in stock

Edit.. OOS again

I just placed an order and it looks like it went through

Did anybody got it yet and have a first hand experience?

Skipping 7 Messages...

I rec'd both phones yesterday. Charged them overnight and hooked them up today. Great deal and I was able to register them both to the main base and use the other base as a charger only using the info from earlier in this thread. Wish I was able to give OP another green.. Very happy.. And on a side note my 3 year old loves wearing the free headsets that were included!
