bing is owned by microsoft, it is similar to fatwallet in its CashBack services, but you have to go through their shopping section and search for the vendor (eg TigerDirect) and look for a CashBack link in one of the ads on the top or right side. if u want more info, do a search on fatwallet forums to learn more about it.

Thanks a lot. I got through it via the bing.com/CashBack link to TigerDirect. The CashBack is 8-10%, not 15% but good enough. Apprecaite it!

Search viewsonic to TigerDirect and then in there search for the Lenovo netbook deal, is that right?
1lossir said: Not a bad price for the 1st gen S10. A big plus is the ExpressCard slot which can be used for a 3G modem (like the OptionGT cards for $30) This does not appear to have an ExpressCard slot.
Edit: TigerDirect is also wrong, this is an S10e, not an S10. Difference is primarily that the "e" has a 1024x576 10.1" glossy display instead of a 1024x600 10.2" anti-glare display.
3-cell battery. I bought an s10 first day they were out. Love it. I don't like the 6 cell battery which adds to the weight. Bought an OEM 9 cell battery for $55 shipped from Brooklyn- do google search- for airplane trips. 3 cell is best when you want to carry it- least weight. 9 cell best when you need use w/o access to power.
I bought this computer for my wife about 2 months ago, and she hates it...not enough ram, the computer gets bogged down very easily. and freezes and crashes often.
Going to be ebaying soon....just not worth the complaints...

**************** You can add 1gb of ram to 2 gb for like 20 bucks.... Should have done it out of the box..... Mine never froze in a year and a half....
Clearly, you've never owned a Thinkpad. Lenovo does have some crap, but the Thinkpad line is the most bulletproof laptop out there - premium priced, but worth it.

Thinkpads FTW!

Sounds like the typical response from those who try to use their netbooks as desktop replacements. Like using a KIA to pull an Airstream.

I concur. "how come photoshop is so slow on my S10e?" Get a clue. I love my S10e (other than the funky right shift). I can use it while I am in bed.
Tempting. I liked the S10 I had until my sister claimed it. I am sorry to say though that the way we use our remaining netbooks, the next thing I put $200 toward in this "space" will have an Apple on it.

T M I !!! What you do in your bed is your own business!
WTF, I have a bad enough time putting up with my 1280 x 800 screen, why would I ever want LESS screen resolution? not to mention, the vertical resolution is less then 600, which means a lot of windows dialogue boxes, etc will be cut off and pretty much unusable. (remember 800 x 600? I only used that resolution back in windows 3.1 and that was how many years ago?)
Now if this was a 1366 x 768 screen at that size, then we would be talking.....
