Costco membership sign up and receive a free chicken, coffee, batteries, etc. This is a legitimate sign up for all fatwalleters (and others) sign up on line or print out and bring to store $50.00 for basic membership
For basic goldstar membership use youdecide code at checkout (In space marked coupon it should show up as a 1 penny deduction for a 49.99 total)
Can I use this to add on to a membership and get free stuffs?

I just used their coupons from a coroporate membership ($40) and saved $40 on the stuff I picked up: FREE 2lb bag of house blend coffee ($9.99) FREE 48 AA Kirkland Signature Batteries ($10.74) $3.00 off Kirkland water ($3.59) $3.00 off any meat product $3.00 off cookies $3.00 off the rotisserie chicken (kind of slimy...) $3.00 off 8 cans of albacore tuna $3.00 off 6 cans of white meat chicken $3.00 off food court pizza
I think there was a coupon for a discount on flowers and some free photo processing too (huge limit on prints)
In the end I used $40 in coupons for my $40 membership. My only downside is that they only take AMEX and debit cards (along with cash and checks.)

Yes. I did. I renewal in Nov and actually my free stuff coupon expire tomorrow. I used up pretty much all the coupons. This is a great deal.
IHAVEAQUESTION said: Only American Express is accepted at Costco?AMEX is the only credit card accepted at Costco. As someone already mentioned, you can use use non-AMEX debit card, cash or check as well. That said, once you become a member, I highly recommend the Costco AMEX - 3% back on gas and restaurants, 2% back on travel, and 1% on everything else.

Another question, my AMEX card is a Costco Cash Back card. If I join as new member, how shall I relink it to new Costco account?

If you don't want to get the AMEX, but have a deep burning desire to use a credit card, you can buy costco gift cards (using any credit card) on their web site. I don't have their card... it's great for CashBack, but I resent feeling forced to use a proprietary card.
Shows up as sale through chase cards. Delivery time is ~3 days.

They're too far away. Just like Fry's, although not that far.

If I remember correctly, you could actually shop at costco without a membership if you had costco giftcard. But I haven't been to costco in last few years.
I just got the Executive Membership last month for $100 (you get a 2% rebate guaranteed to be at least $50) and all I got was a free pizza! Anyhow for the AMEX, check out the AMEX BLUE CASH credit card, its free and offers 1.5% on purchases (tiered on spending) but 5% on gas and groceries. Had one for years, never a problem.

I got a message Coupon not valid when I tried to renew my membership. Anyone who renewed membership could you please explain how you did it???
As many here probably know already, this deal existed for quite awhile through some third-party processor. I believe there was a thread about it here or at SD, but I can't find it using any logical search terms.
The advantage to going through an outside vendor for the renewal certificates (for me anyway) is that it was possible to get multiple coupon books. I had to renew my executive membership, including a bunch of my office employees, so the renewal bill was around $300. Hence I ordered six of the ($50) Goldstar gift memberships, and got six of the coupon booklets in the process. The store didn't fuss at all when I "paid" the $300 renewal with the six membership certificates.
Consequently, I'm up to my @sss in batteries, chicken and coffee these days.

On your behalf, I did a search on Costco.com and found the following: On Membership: We will refund your membership fee in full at any time if you are dissatisfied. see: http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=3164
I know that I will get flamed for this, but please try a simple search first before asking.

Online, phone or in store? How expired was the membership? (more than 2 months?)
Thanks.
Looks like they may have changed the terms. I know at my Costco when I did this deal through the third party vendor back in November they were very reluctant to allow me to use the certificates to renew my Executive membership. I went through about 3 levels of dweeb to finally get someone who would allow me to use the certificates once I threatened to just quit my membership, and then immediately rejoin.
The certificates I got back in November from the third party vendor clearly and specifically allowed for renewals for upgrades to Executive membership. I don't remember the very strict limiting to "non-members" as is the case with this new deal.
well if you cancel your membership every year and then reapply just to get it for free..of course you will be flamed.

No, you just live in the wrong place.
Funny, I wont move somewhere that doesnt have a costco, frys and trader joes. The quality of life issues are pretty critical.
Location, location, location!
I think u live in the wrong world,
My location, location, location is: somewhere where its an island far away from a frys or a best buy or another chain store and i can eat fresh fish everyday.

You can renew. Just take the coupons to membership and say you'd like to renew.
I just got email today from Mypoints offering the same deal, and 500 points if you sign up. I can't send the link because it is unique to my id but if you are a member and login and search on Costco, you should find it. It says "500 points" underneath it and you get the coupon book.
