I purchased this morning as it was on sale for under 150. Got it for my office and figured I could use it as a new PC monitor if I didn't like the tv quality. Well I've been watching it for 6 hours now and I can say I doubt my PC will get this one, LOL! Very clear picture on the digital channels although softer on the none digital, but still nice. Very impressed with the sound, it has nice pre-sets and include a built in equalizer so you can set your own personal sound setting. Two HDMI ports AND a VGA port so I can attach my mini netbook to it if like. Extremely lightweight so its easy to get to the ports. Scanning for channels took the full 20 minutes it said it would take, but it was worth it as I discovered some new digital channels I didn't know I could receive without the cable box. Easy to view from every angle of my 10X11 office. My big 42" LCD doesn't view as well as this one from the side. No clock, but that's not a biggie as we have several weather only stations that show the time. It does have a sleep timer, but since there is no clock there is no wake up feature, which I don't need in the office. I attached my portable DVD player and the movie quality was wonderful. Automatically adujust from 4:3 to 16:9 when you go from non digi to digi, also have manual setting button so you can change screen size if you desire without going through the menu. I think I'm most amazed by the sound, really good for this size tv. Most kids would be happy with it. I only regret I didn't buy a 2nd one for my kitchen, but I'm waiting to see what Black Friday will bring. Best part is it takes up less space on my desk than the 15"inch tube tv that I had there, so now I have more room, always a plus! At the price point I paid its definitely a great buy.
If this is the same one from a couple months ago, it's a decent tv.
You will need a 4-digit capable remote if you want to use a universal remote. I got a cheap philips remote from wally world, the code was 1818. Hope that helps someone

Bought one of these last time on sale at Target. Wife loves it in the kitchen and the pic quality is excellent using an external antenna (no cable in kitchen)...Thinking about getting another for PC monitor and TV viewing...Thanks for the heads up on this one OP!!!
I'm very tempted to pull the trigger on this one. Have been looking at buying a widescreen 19" LCD monitor and they are about $125+. This one doubles as TV for around the same price. If you've hooked it up to a labtop/PC, please comment how clear the screen shows up. Thanks.
Thanks for the code, I went to Target today to look for one for the travel trailer and they had quite a few on hand. The picture quality was excellent in the store and with this coupon, the deals is even sweeter.
Folshack said: yes I also went in store to see the TV in person and it really has a nice picture quality. I went ahead and ordered online as soon as I got home.
It looked like a nice TV when I was there and the price was suprising too me knowing there was a 10% off code and they ship it. It's a no brainer if you need a smaller TV.
megamands said: i have Sears gift cards and they stock this TV. price match! Thanks OP! sears link Great if you have GCs, but you still pay $143 after PM. Unless you purchase using 5% Bing with in-store pickup, then the price becomes $131. But still cheaper thru Target overall after 10% code and 10% Bing and/or 5% Shopdiscover, plus no need to drive to the store.
Seems like a decent deal for the money. I don't want to TC, but it looks thicker than most LCD's, and aren't Sylvania TV's (like the other cheapest LCD brands) known for crapping out pretty quickly? Also normally SD pictures usually look bad enough on any cheap LCD regardless of size, but usually even worse on smaller sets, because the converters aren't very good. Is that not the case here?

The depth includes the base. There is no way mine (without the base) is 8" deep. SD looks decent on mine - no worse than any of my other LCDs.

Any way to use the 10% off coupon for an in-store purchase? I have several non-Target giftcards to use.
Ordered one - had to use the Amazon checkout because I couldn't get the Target site to redo my password. Had to pay up the sales tax but still a good buy. Thanks

Although the price point is excellent, this has to one of the ugliest TV's I have seen.

Go to Bing.com and search for godiva - Click the Target/Bing CashBack banner ad. NOTE: it will not say 10% just yet ... but it will say 10% as it's clicking over. - Shop using that same page
