Thank you!!

I tried this deal last time it was around and would caution against trying to maximize your savings by buying the cheapest set of blinds they offer. The basic vertical blinds have poor quality tracks and tend to stick. If you need a set for a window you seldom open or let light through then it would be all right. The blinds themselves look nice enough, it's just the track and trim hardware that is poorly made.

The key exclusion not to overlook: only applies to Blinds.com-branded blinds. Any other name-brands are excluded. Somehow I missed that critical detail when they did this deal 3 years ago, ended up not getting the rebate.

"REBATE IS FOR NEW CUSTOMERS ONLY"

How do they decide that? Would they track E-mail ID, address or CC number. Even I was rejected once.... Not sure whether I should take chance....

Got the 2" faux wood blinds last time, and they look/work great still. No problems with rebate either.

I'd imagine they track name, address (possibly state), CC and phone. I'm not taking any chances.

I got the Blinds.com honeycomb blinds. They're very well made. In fact, I ordered one via rebate, and ordered several more.

My entire family and circle of immediate friends ordered one blind for my new house two years ago.

Only one of our combined rebates was denied.

Time for me to find some friends who want to order me a blind again this year to finish all of my windows

Enter code FREEBLIND at checkout.

Valid: *02/16/10* to 03/03/10 *ONLY*.

Today is the 8th!!!

size restrictions?

Only restriction is that you get a max of $50 back - if you're order is over $50, you're not getting back the difference.

Looks like a great deal!

I always get stuff shipped to my company -- should I not do that to take advantage of this since it's a large business and someone at the same address may have ordered from there before? I do still keep my billing address as my home, but hate getting stuff shipped there since I work late and packages sit outside all day next to the front door if they don't require a signature. If they do require a signature, I'm almost never there to sign for it.

What does this mean "Online rebate will be sent via email to qualifying customers on March 17, 2010." ?? That we can't file the rebate until we get the rebate form on 3/17/2010?

TIA

The promo has not started yet.

NM I think everybody else beat me too saying this.

marked for when it begins!

Anyone order the free color samples and then get this rebate? Was thinking of ordering samples so I can choose the right color when the ordering period begins. Thinking that might make me an existing customer when the time comes to order the blind.

I'm not going to risk it...I did the deal a few years ago, I'm not a "new" customer.

Do not worry. I had the same fear, because last time this was offered I had already received free samples. I got a nice set of faux wood blinds and recieved the $50.00 rebate without a problem.

If I did the deal last year, I am wondering if my wife who has different last name do the deal with a different credit card but same address?

Anyone have problems collecting this rebate in the past?

why all the hate? This place is becoming a FW nazi hangout!

Looks like FREEBLIND is not the current deal (maybe it was still the old promo from a few years ago).

http://www.Blinds.com/control/infopage?page=freeb.html

Now shows BUY1GET1 (up to $50).

I got in on this deal last time, was happy with the quality of my blind, and received the rebate in a timely fashion. I might try again, if it weren't for the scary statement above (which coincidentally also appeared in the terms last time). Zip code regression analysis?

This is annoying that the $50 rebate is gone. I saw it 2 weeks ago and it didn't seem like it was expiring soon.
Buy 1 Get 1 free is not a great deal because the free blind maxes out at $50. It is tough to get blinds for $50 so most likely people end up paying $100 for one and then getting a really cheap blind free or just putting $50 toward the second one. Not close to as good as the original deal.
Wonder if they will have that up again soon. I bought a foreclosure that needs all new window treatments.

You could only use the $50 rebate once before so it would be the same cost to you either way. Unless, of course, you were planning on scamming the rebate and submitting multiple rebates (1 for each blind) under different names/addresses/etc.

I think it's a good deal. Cheaper then HD or Lowes without the rebate for most of the blinds.
