Been waiting for a deal on this since the last time. It's back but a little more expensive but still a good deal. Lenovo Multimedia Remote with Keyboard (57Y6336) for $60 - 30% off with coupon code USPCF16336 = $42 with free shipping.
how much was it back then? is this good for htpc media center?
edit: come on now, stop reading my mind!

Woo...this thread matched my deal alerts and just saved me 30%.
Nice find. I've been waiting for some type of discount since I read about this item in December. I actually placed an order for this item last night at full price. Just ordered a new one w/ the discount and called to cancel my first order.

In for one, looks like the shipping will be delayed like last time too (my estimated ship date is 2/17/2010).

From what I've read in previous threads, the keyboards were delayed several weeks last time. But they seem to be worth the wait. Also, there was a period last week where the item wasn't even available on the Lenovo site and some people who called in were told that the keyboard had been discontinued. Hopefully, nothing like that happens this time around; this keyboard will be a great addition for my HTPC.
got one - great deal - last time in December the 50% off coupon only was for a short time frame, if i recall this keyboard sold out or the coupon expired like within 15 minutes, thats because there was a limit.
so - point being - buy this if you want it before the coupon expires.
Thank you!! I've been waiting for this to be even available to order again, let alone on a deal. I was even considering buying it from a third party off Google Shopping for much more than this. Seems like a pretty hot item, considering 3rd parties are selling for over retail.
i bought this last time, and it is great for my HTPC, the trackball does have a little rough spot in it, but i love this, it fits my hands nicely (and i have big hands) and just works great, i am glad i did not buy the full size keyboards i was originally looking to get.
I've received this keyboard from the last deal after.. about a month's wait.. It's quite a nifty keyboard and sure is a lot more convenient than my dinovo Edge i've been using for the past couple of years on my HTPC.
Some complaints would be the not-so-smooth-moving trackball ( at least on mine ) and that it's hard to click the left mouse button with your right thumb when you try to operate it with your right hand only. ( It's more comfortable operating it in your left hand, or use both hands - the PgUp and PgDn buttons on the far left kind of suggests it should be operated with both hands )
All in all, I'm pretty happy with this fully functional keyboard and my Edge has been packed away!
Got it from last deal for $30. Probably worth $30 but not a penny more.
Here are my grudges against it (my own experience only, so don't try to argue - I don't care): 1. Typical chinese-designed and chinese-made product: made of cheap plasic that attracts the fingerprints; 2. Buttons are like on the cheap cellphone that was heavily used. They don't have a nice clicky feel which is important when they are that small. At times when you try typing really fast it feels like you pushing the buttons through completely. 3. The biggest gudge: the trackball is really loose. I have my HTPC set up to wake up on USB so that I can power it on and off with my remote. When this keyboard accidentally moved it wakes up my HTPC each time. 4. This remote doesn't have dedicated media remote buttons like directional pad. So if you want to run your typical MediaCenter you still need a media remote. 5. The location of functional keys (alt, shift, ctrl and others) is an afterthought, so you have to learn the whole new layout. 6. The shape is completely devoid of ergonomic design. Not convinient to hold it in your hands at all.
I will be ebaying mine and pulling out my old and trusty DiNovo edge until I find a good deal for DiNovo mini.
I personally own this one, and I am not satisfied with this at all. Here are a few problems that I had encountered over 1 months of average use. I am using this as my primary keyboard+mouse for HTPC.
1) Key combinations, such as Ctr+T or Alt+T are difficult to maneuver. I am programmer by job (think Vi) and it is sometimes very annoying that you have to try it a few times to work. 2) Backspace, you have to keep it pressed and then it will delete some extra words that you did not want to delete. 3) My friend bought the same one with me, but his disconnects occasionally, did not happened to me once. 4) Keys are somehow oddly located. 5) The track ball is WORSE in its category.
I did not write this post using the Lenovo Mutlimedia Keyboard.
Awesome little device for Home Theater only. Too small for real typing (similar to a good cellphone keyboard). Glad I got in on the $30 deal, if not, I would have paid this price as the item is worth it, to me at least. I use it more at work as I have my main PC then 2 Server's on the side and this is easier to use on my server as I don't have the space for so many keyboards.
Took FOREVER to ship and they keep sending emails if you want to cancel - just ignore them and wait it out - it is worth it.
Does it work with Wii? Has anyone ever tried the keypad and trackball with Wii?

Thanks OP! Ordered one yesterday and hope I'll be happy using it with my HTPC. Looks like it's a week and a half estimated ship date but based on everyone's experience, it may take longer to ship. I decided to get this instead of the more expensive DiNovo Mini. We'll see how well it works.
I bought this one last time. Trust me..this is an awesome piece and great to have this if you are ok with the price.

I bought one after seeing this post, love it, use mine 10 feet away, no problems. I never used a track ball before, seems very sensitive, just need to get used to it.
