not too shabby really. I wonder how long the battery life is on it.

more specs and price in title please, not to mention online or B&M

Fixed it.....

Don't care - purchased it for desktop replacement with occasional laptop usage...

Crazy thing, I just went to build an identical model and the base price is now ~$1590 prior to coupon discount. only $50.00 off the 6GB RAM not $100 anymore. 500GB HD not included anymore also. They sure changed it quick.

This is a NICE System

Weird... I chose the same exact options for the OP's system and got $1172.99 + tax. Any ideas? I would love to get in on this deal. Thanks

Just a warning. You may like this "deal", but I suggest avoiding HP computers. I jumped on a "great" HP deal 2 years ago, and now my system is a door stop (unless I want to pay $400 in repairs). My system lasted longer than most. See www.hplies.com if you think I'm just an isolated customer cheated by HP.

Plz put the price in the title.

Every Company has problems with computers. I had a Toshiba laptop that started acting funny 6mts after I bought it. So I switched to HP and couldnt be happier

Realized what happened later...
Last week, I was at work configuring the HP laptop and they had good deals going on...Free 500GB HDD upgrade and $100 off for the RAM and it came to $1227 or close. So I configured mine and added to cart, but never purchased it. Today when I was configuring the same, it was coming to $1397 or something, but this week they had the $250 coupon. But that deal from last week stayed in my cart because I never shut my browser or cleared my cookies/history....
And lo and behold...I got last weeks deal combined with this weeks coupon..

I talked to my sis who works in ATT wireless IT and she informs me that can happen possibly because HP might not be tracking when a configuration was created in the cart and when the coupon is applied.

Just very interesting, I am going to try it again at HP and see if that happens. Anyways, the computer stays on at work (requirement). Hate it for waste of energy.

You guys should try what I did at multiple websites and see if it works.....

A $1000 laptop should be better...1366x768.

Horrible screen resolutions are the one thing keeping me from pulling the trigger on a desktop replacement.

During all the HP laptop, i would just take DV8T into my consideration, and i am waiting its deal at $900 with at least 500G disk and 4G memory, or i would wait for THINKPAD T510 or T410

I don't see any quality notebook computers from HP. The old days HP quality is gone, or just only me? I think IBM or Dell are better.

Text is too small? You know, most of us would plug it into an external monitor when using it as a desktop replacement.

officeMax has it for $949.99 - 3% BCB = $921.45 + tax, it has 4GB instead of 6GB
