Do you have a scan of the receipt by any chance? It's $69.99 here. I want to see if I can price match it.

i can post a scan later.

Thank you.

I hate you all.........why does Frys not exist anywhere near the rest of us? ha ha

which Frys? What city, state?

Was it retail or OEM version? Warranty?

Major Brand Name" 1TB 32MB Cache SATA Hard Drive

WD10EADS-00M2B0 = Two 500gb platters
WD10EADS-00L5B1= Three 334gb platters

It was $59.99 last October. I bought three.

Please do, or at least let us know which city the B&M is in. I hadn't seen this in the ads for the SF Bay Area.

Thanks in advance. Been looking for another archival drive, and since I'm still running XP, the EADS drive is a bit less of a hassle compared to EARS.

this is OEM, no retail box. Got it in woodland hills, ca

Hey mattlaw and LiberatorSE, why the red? are you just mad because you dont have a Frys? this is for the people that are able to get to a frys and hopefully score this deal too. If you dont like then move on.

i'm not far from the woodland hills frys so i may have to schedule in a trip.

Is this advertised, Trickracen? Is it correct that the one with 2 platters would be better than the one with 3?

Yes the newer rev WD10EADS with 2 platters consume less power, produce less heat, and have higher transfer rates.

Pretty sweet price, I'd buy some if I didn't already have my NAS full of 1TB+ drives

i want a frys in NY!!!

I want White Castle in CA and Duncan Donuts

LOL
That's what I was going to write before seeing your reply. It just doesn't seem fair.

In Phoenix, the only drives I see offered are a 1TB Hitachi for $69.99 and a 120GB WD notebook for $35.

Sometimes different Fry's stores hold sales on different days, and it's possible the 1TB WD will go on sale for $49.99 on Friday.

I want White Castle in my part in Western NY. Closest ones to me are Cleveland or NYC/Long Island area for me.

And as said before I want Frys, if I visit an area that has a Frys, I will make it a point to visit it because of Fatwallet

That is not fair, I want Frys in Oklahoma City, too

Already got that.

pauldb said: I want White Castle in CA and Duncan DonutsI'll easily trade you our White Castle and Duncan Donuts for your Fry's. I just won't trade Bojangles....even though I don't eat there often. You can have all the white castle's as far as I'm concerned.

lol, getting off topic. but they do sell frozen white castle from markets.

it's internal drive. for couple of days, i am looking for External drives.

This is bull**** i hate living on the east coast!!!

I just called and checked in Houston. All 3 Fry's locations are out of stock and discontinued. ITEM# 6070278

Has anyone been able to get one of these at San Jose Fry's?

darok3k said: lol, getting off topic. but they do sell frozen white castle from markets.

Yeah but they are not the same tasting. Even buying a crave case (what is it 30 white castlesI think) and bring it back from Cleveland, and freezing them, they tasted better than the store bought ones.

My friend even bought a crave case and brought it back on the plane to Florida with him :-P.

Anyways to make this post on topic. THis is a really good deal. Always could use more hard drives.

be sure and check the warranty on cheap frys hdd's, sometimes they will only be covered for a year.

Does every Fry's deal thread need people bitching that they don't have Fry's in their area?

How about just yapping on the deal? Not one person besides the OP has confirm this.

There is a white castle not too far from me but seriously it,s only worth going if you want to get your bowel into motion.

"and Duncan Donuts"

They don't even make the Donuts in shop any more - they're trucked in.
The memories of good coffee & super fresh pastry are better than the available fare today.

So @lattehiatus what's the XP connection to "EADS drive is a bit less of a hassle compared to EARS"?? There's perhaps a performance difference but what does that have to do with XP specifically? Or are you using this as a RAID drive & concerned about alignment etc with mixed solutions?

First rule of FW/SD deals....don't call ahead.
