In the box: Dyson DC24 Blueprint Limited Edition Mini Flat Out Head Combination Tool
I've wanted one of these for awhile. My local Targets had none when I got there. I got this this morning and after doing a quick FW search I saw all the red that the non-Target "Blueprint" deals got lately I decided that no one was that interested so I did not post.
I attempted BING CB also with this and went through a 7% link to hopefully get that. About 9 hours later nothing showing. If I don't get the $21 I don't get it...still wanted this and am giving my old Dyson to my girlfriend.
FS + no tax...possible $21 off for a final price of $279?

What is difference between a limited edition and normal all floor edition, which is running at $399?

From what I have read, the original is a DC25 as opposed to this(DC24). The DC25 supposedly has a great deal more suction. During the last woot off they put this up and once it came out that this was less powerful it turned into a woot killer.
Just ordered mine for $269 shipped ($299 minus $30 for Buy.com Visa application)! Not sure if BCB worked, but should know in a day or two, so may be even less total.

Anyone have the DC24? I didn't think Dyson made a Blueprint of the DC24...but I guess they do. This of course is lighter and smaller than the DC25 and of course is 115 compared to 220.
I currently have a DC14 which is kinda big and bulky. I only have large area rugs in a tile house but they are all WOOL rugs. The DC14 pretty much fills up the LARGER container on every rug (no I am not a slob it fills up with the wool (I have no idea how I have any carpet left!).
Now because the DC14 is "cleaning" more than the dirt and picking up the fibers of my wool rugs I don't THINK the lower suction is going to matter and I will gain maneuverability and still get the actual "dirt" maybe with less fibers?
I'm giving my other Dyson to my girlfriend so if this thing sucks...or should say doesn't..then I can just give her this one instead.
Mine shipped yesterday. Curious if any FWers got this from other deals that had more "powerful" Dysons previously think about it?
Still love the deal, my own problem not paying attention that there was a DC24 Blueprint also..I simply always thought it was a DC25 Blueprint every time I read a deal. It appears there was only one DC25 deal and that would have been about $380 for me...the extra almost $100 less put this where I can justify purchasing it. (besides my old DC14 has more power than the DC25 anyways...yeah I know that means I am really "stepping down in suction with the DC24)Seems that almost every deal was on the DC24...man I usually pay more attention!
Because truth be known I am one of those idiots that is buying it more for looks than probably anything else..but it still needs to be a good vacuum! (Like I said my DC14 works great)
Eh...I help my girlfriend out and the vacuum looks great and will store easily...just curious if anyone has been in my shoes and their thoughts on the power. Of course it is NOT going to be up to the standards of a Animal or a DC25...but is it adequate? It is a compact so I am not expecting it to perform like a full size mind you.
They sent it USPS so the tracking is useless..but if I don't get any response I will post my thoughts on it after I test it for people like me that are curious.

Haha...glad I'm not the only one! I don't think I will ever be putting my Dyson in the closet. I have a nice corner in the entry room to keep it on display! As far as being a good vacuum, when you compare it to other vacuums at this price point, it's a pretty safe bet I think.

Just as an FYI...received my BING CB in my account for $21! So I got 7%! I looked up Buy.com and picked a watch I believe that had one merchant (Buy.com) for 7% no "range"...through IE..I saw no "banner" or anything indicating BING after BCB sign in...showed up today!

So total cost for me is $279! Thanks again OP!
Just got my $21 today too...Sweet! That makes my total price $248.99 ($299.99 minus $21 BCB and $30 for Buy.com Visa application). Now I just have to wait for USPS to deliver the darn thing!
Got my vac a few days ago. It's smaller than I imagined, but boy does it pick up some dirt! Some of the plastic parts feel a little flimsy, but I guess that's how anything is now-a-days.

since I have this beast - ! - an advice - ! - do not forget to wash the filter every couple month, cause it does help the suction tremendously! good luck!
bought a DC24 from Big Lots during the 20% F&F last month. The suction was poor, the spinning reel at the bottom kept jamming, and the whole unit felt quite cheap and easily breakable. On the plus side, it was very easy to steer and was lightweight. I returned it yesterday because it was definitely not worth it for me to have a vacuum that stopped working properly every 5 mins. Maybe I just had bad luck and bought a dud.

How much did you pay for it at Big Lots...just curious.

Bought one a couple weeks ago when buy put the deal up... the wife has used it twice, and wow, does it work. She first used our Dirt Devil vacuum, then went over it with the DC24 and it vacuumed up ALOT more than the dirt devil did. It is a bit on the small side, but if you have an apartment or smaller house that doesn't get alot of foot traffic, its a good buy. Also confirmed BCB at 7%.
I also received mine and yes, it is quite a bit smaller than I thought it would be. Quite a bit.....LOL It does work well, but I guess I "expected"the more. Like was said I was very disappointed in the plastic parts and since I cannot send it back it doesn't matter whether I am happy with it or not. LOL I would NOT have paid 299. had I of seen it before purchasing.
in the words of Craig Ferguson "does this come with the proper amount of suction?"

Good price, but the DC24 tested near the bottom of the pack at Consumer Reports (and only got a "Fair" rating on Pet Hair, and "Poor" for Tool Airflow). I'd pass on this...
