Missed it, but it has been at that price before (around xmas), and with luck they will run the sale again. A friend that does serious photography bought one to carry around, like a baby DSLR.
I agree. SonyStyle ran it several months ago at the same price...ran out really quickly then too. It just blows away my well regarded Fuji FD40. Really sharp, and the long zoom actually works well cause the anti-shake stabilizer is so good.
If it comes up again grab it. On the other hand, Sony's 2010 version will probably use their new backlit CMOS sensor, which nearly eliminates challenges with chroma noise under low light. It should be even better (though a lot more expensive until they refurb the new model).

As a question for the next time this deal pops up: anyone know what the Sony warranty is on refurb products? Is it worth paying $20~$30 for a two year warranty? Or does the technology change so quickly that it doesn't even make it worth it?
