Nice deal, but the RX-V465 gives you YPAO Automatic System Calibration (w/Optimizer Microphone) and 17 Surround Programs instead of 8.

Still a good deal, though.

This one keeps going down, but just remember there is no audio pass through on the hdmi (read the reviews for more details).

Is this the lowest price for a decent 5.1 HT receiver out there? Has to be better then the low end Sony line,Kenwood,Pioneer etc.. Or??

Pass on

good price for an entry level receiver

but don't expect too much

but should work on those Energy take 5 system or other sat+sub setups.

This would be the main reason why this receiver is so cheap. It doesn't have Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD

Want to enjoy more HD audio and video sources?

Yes, which is why this receiver isn't a good choice. No Dolby TrueHD.

For the money, it's a good deal, but spend a little more if this is going in a home theater and not a bedroom.

Any suggestion on a receiver that has these features for a LITTLE more money?

Whether something has TrueHD is about the 48th most important thing to consider in terms of effect on sound quality. Way below whether the curtains are drawn or open.

Seems like a good deal given the feature set and amount of inputs it has and all of that. I doubt there is anything else in the range of 130 with hdmi and component and all of that.

I disagree. I use Yamaha RX-V861, and I use the different surround programs all the time. Yamaha's about the only ones that make surround enhancements work.

In for one! Thanks.
