Does OM charge sales tax even if you use 100% rewards to pay for your purchase? I know strapless wont charge sales tax if u pay for an item with nothing but a rewards check.
NICE find! I have a $30 off $150 purchase at Office Max valid until 4/10/2010 online only they sent me, so definitely sign up for Max Perks! I'll be looking for more stuff for fillers. I need toner, so now might be the time!

I'm in MA and they have always charged sales tax when using rewards. Doesn't work like Staples.
i am curious, if you have cartridge credit at officemax, will you get the rewarded twice, one reward for the purchase price and one for the cartridges? thanx

A) jaxguy didn't know why the offer wasn't currently valid. B) FullTimeDad replied that the deal doesn't start until tomorrow. C) NoMoneyInMyWallet thought "hmm ... we set the clocks ahead 1 hour tonight, so maybe there's a joke in here somewhere?" D) NoMoneyInMyWallet posted "Isn't today the day that we turn our calendars ahead 1 day?" as a play on jaxguy thinking that tomorrow's deal was active, thus he must have already set his calendar ahead 1 day. E) Two FWers either didn't understand the play on words, thought it was a bad joke, or have no sense of humor, thus gave NoMoneyInMyWallet's post RED. F) Two FWers understood the play on words and have a sense of humor, thus gave NoMoneyInMyWallet's post GREEN. G) NoMoneyInMyWallet's post went over Fishin4me's head.

And you could add that Sloppy1 took more time to post his question about in-store pickup than it would have took to add any random item to his cart and see this is not an option at Office Max...just in case you wanted to summarize the whole thread up-to-date

Can I get a clarification on redeeming MaxPerks rewards. On their website, they say just come into the store and redeem at the end of the quarter. Is the redemption straight cash, or is it an OM GC?

I understand that purchases made with Reward Card do not count toward the regular MaxPerks Rewards ($25 for $500 purchase). How about the Bonus Rewards?
However, there often is a limit of 3 for items with 100% bonus rewards so be careful with limits. Sorry I don't have the time at the moment to call OM to find out.
Might help if you're trying to get to $50 for free shipping.
PS - Oddly, the page for the item doesn't mention the 100% bonus rewards so be careful. The page for the 100% bonus rewards for the case of paper does mention the bonus.

Perhaps I was unclear. I was asking if I pay for the item with Reward Card, would I get the Bonus Rewards, or do I have to pay with "new money"?
If you pay with rewards...you won't be able to return inks and get ink rewards....

If I pay with MaxRewards, and later I need to return the purchase, (1) do I get Rewards back? (2) If get the rewards back, when will be the new expiration date? (3) If I purchase online, can I return it to the local store?

Somehow I was told that these two didn't qualify. I was given credit [back to cc] I see everyone having bought 2109282 and I dont know why it didn't qulaify..I'm confused. Doesn't the "X" in the envelopes line mean the envelopes do qualify for bonus rewards?
Apparently both the white and brown binders are having issues -- rewards are not being posted automatically.
Envelopes had X and mentioned qualifying; but in actuality they weren't [as told by CSR] Brown folder didn't have an X and didn't qualify.
