I'm not sure what you mean by alternate ID's? Do you mean when a user has two different user names? That is not allowed in the forums. If you're referring to something else, could you please clarify?

Yes, there are multiple posters with two different usernames. They have been popping up a lot lately in FWF

I know this happens sometimes in the Finance forum when a user wants to discuss a topic that may be too personal to post under their normal user name. I'm not sure of the official policy on this, I will look into it.
We do not allow users to create alternate IDs for the purpose of abuse in the forums (flaming others, cross voting, etc).
