The giant sign up popup whenever I visit FW is getting annoying....unless you don't mind me making multiple accounts to help increase the count....

You shouldn't see that every time you visit, unless you're crushing all cookies and logging out every time you leave the site. I'm pretty sure this is a test only intended for traffic coming from search.

of course I do....I never stay logged in to anything unless I'm using it

So you're crushing cookies, and searching for FatWallet instead of going directly to it?

FF automatically cleans everything out but I never have to search for FW, I use a bookmark.

Ah, gotcha. Using a bookmark, or coming directly to the site, you should have an option to just close that overlay. Is this not happening?

The "X"? It's there, but still. (adblock didn't work on it)

Could you add a login form to that popup?

There is a log in form, at least for me. Click sign in, and it will take you to a log in page.

but that's no different than just bookmarking the login page instead, correct?

Well, it's right on the overlay, so yes, it is different, but will get you logged in either way.
