If you read through the article at the top of this thread, you should be able to solve your problem.
From the sounds of things, something on your system is blocking the bFast referal.
If you have a hosts file on your system, check to make sure there are no bFast entries in it. If you have SpyWareBlaster on your system, then you need to reconfigure it every time you update it.
Any other protection software you might have on your system, you need to check the configuration settings to be sure none of them are blocking 3rd party cookies.
You said this problem started happening a couple of days ago?
Did you update anything at that time or install any programs?
Purhaps you visited a website that might have infected your system with a drive by install?
Following the instructions at the top of this thread should help you solve your problem.

Ok then, If you have not installed a Hosts file yourself, then most likely it was Kaaza that did this to you. The Hosts file from Kaaza is no good as it will block plenty of legitimate sites. Find and delete this Hosts file.
If you have previously installed a Hosts file, then you would follow these directions below.
Good Luck
In the directions at the top of this thread, there is a link to the Hosts Files section of my website. For Convenience, here it is: Richard the Lion Hearted's Hosts Files
Here, you will find directions on how to edit the Hosts file. I recommend using Textpad for this purpose.
Depending on the Operating System you are running, find and open your Hosts file using Textpad, then in the menus, use:
Search > Find and look for "bfast" without the quotes.
If you find any of these entries, then you would either delete the entire line containing this, or you would place a # sign at the beginning of the entry.
You will need to make sure the Hosts file is not set to "Read Only" in order to edit it. In Windows Explorer: Right click on the file > Properties
If the Read Only box is checked, then uncheck it and click OK. After you are done editing the Hosts file, you'll want to make sure you change it back to Read Only.

Read through the article at the beginning of this thread.
If you have any other protection software on your system, then that could be causing the problem.
SpyWareBlaster is one such program that can be a problem because each and every time you update it, you need to manually reconfigure it as per the instructions in this thread.
Also, not knowing what popup blocker you're using, it is possible that you might be using what is known as a rogue program. In the Computer forum, in the second sticky, you can find the link to check to see if any of your protection software is a rogue.
Another thing is if you happen to be using a Hosts file. On my site, I have Hosts files which are configured to work with FatWallet and CashBack. If you never installed a Hosts file, but have used Kaaza or some other such program, then you might have a bad Hosts file on your system which blocks legitimate sites. If so, then it is safe to delete such Hosts files.
Please read the article at the beginning of this thread.

If I have a link which is not in the CashBack store page, but I need that link in order to get the promotion I want. What should I do to make sure I will receive FatWallet CashBack as usual?
For example, in the thread http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/messageview.php?catid=18&threadid=471133&highlight_key=y&keyword1=x50v, there is a "Link, Including e-Value Code" under quick summary. Will I be able to get FatWallet Cash Back if I log in, and click that link in the particular thread but not the store page?
No, you will not be able to utilize that link and secure Cash Back for your purchase. To ensure Cash Back: log in, link from our Stores page, add items to cart and check out. IF the promotion requires a link outside of our Stores page, then that link/promotion will be credited for the sale rather than FatWallet, so we won't earn a commission to share with you in the form of Cash Back. Sometimes you need to choose the single greatest savings and go with that. |

I have a question - what if you are sharing a computer with someone who is particularly security-conscious and does not allow modifications to the hosts file? I ask because on this system I can't even get past your site when trying to go to a merchant site. For example I was wanting to see an offer for a monitor at Staples but although I could get the "You're on track for getting Cash Back!" page to appear (several times, actually) I could not get the Staples page to come up and I'm reasonably sure the problem is either a hosts file or perhaps even a firewall issue. The problem is that it would be a major issue to try and get those changed. In fact this system uses the Firefox browser and not Internet Explorer, if that makes any difference. I know that Spybot Search and Destroy and Spyware Blaster are also used. I would imagine that people who surf from their workplace sometimes have similar issues.
One thing that has been suggested to me is that since I can make minor temporary settings changes in the browser itself, if there were a "proxy" I could point to that might resolve the issue, but I have no idea how to do that (or more specifically, what address I would use for a "proxy"). But basically it sounds like where a computer is used by multiple users and the person who set it up is really security conscious (which I actually consider to be a good thing in most situations), the other users are just plain out of luck when it comes to your site and the Cash Back. True or not?
Good questions!
The basic idea is this: We need to know who you are to pay you Cash Back. We also rely on reporting networks to digest our data, send it to the merchant, then report back to us the commission and Cash Back earned by an individual for each transaction.
The hosts file is only used to make sure users do not go somewhere the administrator doesn't want them to... so you might want to check and see why our reporting networks are on the "blacklist." If not a hosts file issue, it could be Symantec AV or something similar that considers the networks a threat due to whatever their criteria are. If the particular networks listed in the OP of this topic are excepted (in hosts, firewalls, antispyware, etc), then the Cash Back links should work.
In short, you won't be earning Cash Back from ours or similar programs with settings as they are on your computer. How to set it up differently is covered in the OP, but how to get around the current set-up is really beyond what we can do remotely. It's better to find someone at your end to help with that. |

Here is the Support page for Sygate Personal Firewall.
Here is the Support page for Sygate Personal Firewall Pro.
You will find links for support forums and online help documentation.
The first thing I would suggest would be to completely disable the firewall so as to verify that this is what is causing the problem.
If the problem is actually with your Firewall and there is no way to disable it, then I would recommend trying a different firewall which would allow you to configure this option.
Many times, the problem can be found with your Spyware protection software or with your Hosts file if you have one on your system.
If you are using SpyWareBlaster, then this tool needs to be reconfigured each and every time you perform an update. The directions can be found in the article at the top of this thread.
Even if you're not using a Hosts file, sometimes a parasite can install a bad Hosts file which can affect your surfing or any affiliate links. Kaaza is one such program that can and will do this. The Kaaza Hosts file will interfer with FatWallet links and CashBack.
Good Luck

I need help with this situation to verify FatCash eligibility but most important: I use Mozilla 1.7.8 on XP -- and this is the sequence of steps: 1. I was logged into fatwallet, jumped on a Staples deal and added an item in cart 2. realized I forgot about FatCash, so emptied the cart, went to fatwallet screen in other 'tab' 3. clicked on FatCash link, got directed to merchant, got FatCash popup for note. 4. IMP: this is not IE browser, so continued in previous 'Tab' where the merchant site was open and verified that cart was empty, then again searched for the item, added to cart, then complete the order. In step 4, though I did not use the main merchant window linked from FatCash, remember this being mozilla, does not start a new instance of brower for each tab/window. Is it still necessary to have followed the linked window ? -- the cookie placed in on e tab/window of a browser session is available to all tabs/windows.
This is similar to the situation where (atleast with mozilla browser): 1. If I do not login to fatwallet in one mozilla window, and try to check account specific settings, obviously I can not. 2. But then if in another tab or a window I login to fatwallet, the previous tab/window now allows member specific functons when refreshed
Can a staff please verify ? In any case, would be nice to have some mechanism to verify w/o asking here. Seems like this should be technically possible given the cookie placements timings. Thanks.
ANSWER In short: new tab window = new browser window = no Cash Back. It is still necessary to follow the window created with the Cash Back link in order to earn Cash Back.
Regarding "having a mechanism in place w/o asking here"...
To get a question answered, it's best to submit a support request (after reading the Cash Back FAQ). You can find the support requests by clicking Help in upper right corner, then Contact Us.
To get assurance of Cash Back, we do all we can by noting the link to merchant. After that, you're completing a secure transaction which we have to wait to be reported to us later. If there was a way to assure "green light status" for Cash Back as you complete the process, we'd do it.

If I have funds sent to a business Paypal account, will the Paypal fee still be deducted? I remember reading somewhere that it wasn't, but I would like to confirm this before I request payment.
