How is this star system any better than the original +/- system, in terms of solving the claimed problem of people abusing the system by giving negative (one star) ratings?

Bring the old system back!! It's simple yet effective in showing "how much green or red" have been given. With the star system, if only ONE person gives a thread a 5-star it makes the whole rating 5 star. That does not make sense at all!!

Don't try to reinvent the wheel. Don't fix what ain't broke! Is that so hard to understand?

PLEAE ADD COLOR TO THE STAR SYSTEM.

red - 1 star
yellow - 2 stars
etc, etc...

otherwise, bring the bar system back!

I still like the old system. I want to know how many people voted red and green. Right now, I don't get that info.

If it uses the same metadata, would it be possible for users to choose the rating system displayed based upon their account options (i.e., "customize")? Like how we can choose 100 vs 20 threads per page, etc.

Just a thought for those who like the older system

There was no need to change the rating system. The majority of the members on the community appear to have been happy with the old system. What is the new system delivering (other than heartache)?
