A FWF user could list his background and credentials such as Lawyer at Davis Polk & Wardwell, financial advisor at Wachovia or owner of 10 investment properties. Knowing what a persons background is would make it easier for a user to evaluate the advice that FWF users sometimes give and often imply. Why would you trust a profile any more than the advice given? A 10 y/o could claim to be all of the above and president of the united states! -cd |

The ability to sort the forum by date without logging in is very useful. |

It would give credence to the advice. If I'm not going to listen to the advice or the profile then what the hell am I doing here? On your second point, an average intelligence C student could pretend to be president...oh wait. |

I don't see how what someone types into their profile makes them any more or less trustworthy. |

A reputation score would be even better. Basically we are all in agreement that an expansion of the profile would be a welcome addition. |

Perhaps the reputation score could be based on the amount of cumulative green received minus any red. |

I was just concerned because I have some sensitive documents about my health stored on my computer. I was worried a hacker could get the info somehow. I was already the victim of an identity theft, it was a minor invasion and so far the people with my info have not used it for evil - I had to freeze all of my credit to make sure. I make sure to have Zone Alarm on whenever I walk away from my PC and I have some level of firewall protection. But I am feeling vulnerable. |

I did not see anyone suggest travel coffee mugs as an incentive yet. Several companies have given these through the years, mostly companies I know little about or those who have gone out of business. With a travel coffee cup including a clever FW design, I would have something to intelligent to tell people when they ask about the logo. andoldlacev |

Are the changes to the "modern" Fatwallet interface done? I'm still using the "Classic" interface because there's two things I hate about the modern interface. The classic interface has a [Last Page] link right next to the title so that I can quickly get into the thread. I don't like the modern "last page" link because it takes more effort to move my eyes clear across to to the right side of the screen. And since the "lage page" link in the modern interface is in a wall of text disconnected from the thread titles, it takes a bit more effort to ensure that I'm clicking on the one that matches the thread I want to read. Also, I don't like that the modern "last page" link takes you to the bottom of the last page. I like the "classic" last page link that goes to the top of the last page. Are there features in the modern interface that would bring back these preferences? I have been reading FW since 2002 (joined in 2003). |

I have been reading FW since 2002 (joined in 2003).I'd like to think there's a better solution than what we currently offer. While it won't be our focus the next month or so for obvious reasons; in the spirit of Ernie Banks and Cubs fans everywhere... "Things'll be fine in 2009!"

On one of the site I cruised today, the system alerted me that I was double posting, somehow I double submit the same message twice. It automatically checked the time of submittal and directed me to my previous message instead of posting another one. That's a nice function. would FW consider something similiar? |

How long does it take the title search function to index the threads in deal discussion? (this is in classic view right above the thread titles) If I search Antec, it doesn't return my thread from a few days ago. Weird? When I searched "Monopoly" in HD at 2:26am it didn't find the thread posted at 2:09am called "Monopoly Here and Now World $14.99 & eligible for FREE Shipping on orders over $25 Amazon Gold Box", but searching "H505" found the more recently created thread at 2:24am called "Motorola H505 Bluetooth Headset for $19.99 at Amazon.com (Regular Price: $79.99)" Does title search only search certain words it picks out of each thread title or something? What am I missing here? |

If FW implements just one more improvement, I hope it's an "I'm in" button in each OP. That way users can flag the deals they participate in. Add an "I'm in" checkbox to the search wizard so we can pull up a list of all the deals we participate in with just one click. Sweet. |

Smaller prizes with more frequent rewards. Assuming you're trying to increase traffic, don't have a couple big giveaways every few days. Instead have giveaways more often. This way, even if you're not looking for something now, you may stop buy just to make sure you're entered in the contest. **** Also, free MEDIUM T-shirts for members who give good suggestions... |
