Just a little something we'd had the ability to do, but hadn't really tried. Any thoughts, anyone? Cool? Lame? Let us know! VivYip said:where did the highlighted threads come from? (the title's highlighted in green/aqua/bluish) |

The 2 in HD currently both are CashBack sales but are different colors, leading me to believe they should have different purposes. Are the colors used supposed to indicate something? Like, is light blue to be giveaways, light green Cash Back sales, etc? There should be some rhyme or reason, but with the limited examples there doesn't appear to be. Not sure yet how useful they will be. Don't really see a need for a color bar to ID a staff-posted thread, if that's what they are meant for, but then I know most of the posting staff IDs, whereas newer members may need a visual cue. Might it make sense (again, if that is the purpose) to use the same greenish color used inside threads to ID staff posts? Design consistency is a good thing. |

Heh, tlaxson, I agree...consistency is a good thing. Really, we didn't have more of a rhyme nor reason for trying this quickly than to see how it impacted views. If we chose to go forward using this type of visual cue, we'd certainly have a color code. That one the Dept. of Homeland Security seems to work pretty well... |
