Mod gone wild?

Seriously, what's up with this guy? At first he would, whenever his shift came on, selectively label 10-20 threads "Hot deal", some of them barely warm. Then he started sticking that label everywhere, and now all 100 threads on the first page (I set it to 100) are "Hot deals". Don't know beyond 100, though.

Clearly, this guy doesn't get paid. If it were a real job, he would have respected it a little bit more. This is not a joke website. FW is a for-profit enterprise. Those "Hot Deal" labels are actually supposed to help people, guide them toward better deals, and ultimately, contribute to the FW's bottom line by bringing more users and more commissions.

Now, should I get banned for speaking against erratic and immature behaviors of mods?
Well, that will be another test of how serious FW is about business.

No, but if they banned people for ignorance, you would be in trouble; that erratic and immature behavior thing comes to mind. Mods have NOTHING to do with tagging threads as a hot deal. Do you really think they have time to sit around and label threads? Look at the number of Views, that is what generates the tag.

Thanks for telling us about this. Actually, the "hot deal" notice is not added by a mod. That label is automated and based on views within a certain amount of time. It's a known bug, and we're looking into it. Sorry, but it's not us.

Now, if you want to see real erratic and immature behavior on the part of the mods, you should visit the office. There's plenty of it here. Trust me.

It's not the mods with the problem, it's the zebras.

Darn mods with strikeout power above and beyond that of ordinary mortals.

Users and their ability to quote markup.

It turns out, I accused mods when they had nothing to do with it. My apologies. I appreciate the mods' sense of humor.

It's a bug, then.

I now consider this discussion closed.

no harm I imagine, I've accused vengeful mods of everything between having satans baby in my mind to having secret societies with members to applying block filters on my account on the admin side of my profile. NOTHING you could say beats miy new member thoughts
