Alert Mods Question/Suggestion

Howdy!

So, I don't too often alert the mods about things, but every once in awhile I find a repost or something.

At the top of the alert mods box (after I click on the button), it indicates the name of the thread and the address of the thread.

However, I always get a note in my response from the mods which indicates:

"Please include your username and a link to the thread in question, as well as your suggested course of action."

Isn't the link provided by your reporting system? And, I did include my username this last time, but still got the "Please include your username" part.

Suggestion: The "Alert Mods" box currently says:

"Note: Please do not submit your alert more than once. The moderators will be alerted to the thread and message you clicked on.

If you are reporting a Repost, please include the link to the original thread."

Maybe add some lines which says:
Please provide as much information as possible.
Please provide your username.
Please provide a suggested course of action (i.e. "Lock thread").

And ... if you know the thread already, then please don't send me a message telling me to tell you the thread (unless that makes it easier for you, but then include that in the lines above on information to provide).

If the mod response is standard, please adjust to something like "If you didn't this time, please make sure to include your username next time."

Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion! We are always looking for ways to make improvements and processes easier.

kmsandrbs: when they ask you to include your username and a link to the thread in question, they're talking about how to contact them if you have additional questions or comments about your modalert. As you've noticed, you can't respond to the mods' responses directly, so they've published the way to contact them to continue the dialog.

Here's the full quote

More questions or comments? Contact the on-duty moderator:
Go to "Help" on any page, then "contact us," then "other question or comment:" http://www.fatwallet.com/support/contact.php?contactReason=other

Please include your username and a link to the thread in question, as well as your suggested course of action.

Ah. That makes more sense. But it might be clearer if they did not include the space between the two (as at least one person, myself, always took them as separate comments).

I agree. Mods, are you listening?

*Lifts head from hammock* ...huh?
