Perhaps I asked this question on the wrong forum.

Does anyone here have some tips for me?

For the explanation of what I'm looking to do, please see my thread on the "off topic" forum:

Hi NantucketSunrise,

Thanks for your question and I'll be happy to try and give you some suggestions.

I am unaware of an actual bookmark that would bring to directly back to the last thread you looked at, but using the "Favorites" feature might help make the last thread you visited a little more eye-catching. Are you using classic or modern? In modern view, you can hover next to thread topics and choose *toggle favorite topic* or *toggle not interested in topic*. Try clicking on the *toggle favorite topic* next to the last thread you visited. The blue star will stay put and then when you come back perhaps the blue star will help make that last thread you visited stick out more. Then click the star again to get rid of the favorite topic once you've found the last thread you visited.

Let us know if this method works. If not, perhaps another walleteer can give more ideas.

WONDERFUL! I SHALL TRY IT IMMEDIATELY!

YES- GREAT - THIS IS WHAT I NEEDED.

I chose the other symbol - 'denote this as a topic you don't ever want to think about again' - the circle with the line through it -

Yay I'm glad that's going to work for you!

Another approach. I check fatwallet using an RSS reader (I use the Google Reader, but there are lots of other readers that work the same way). Threads are bold until you've read them. Added advantage if you fall behind is that you can just mark all of the existing threads in red. Potential disadvantage is that you only see the first message in a topic unless you click on a link, although for most of us, there are a relatively small number of threads that we want to see beyond the headline.
