Any way to have an option to view the site using 100% of the browser's width? Switching to a fixed site width just as browsers are getting larger, resolutions smaller, and things are switching to wide-screen panels doesn't make much sense for parts of the site such as the discussion forums.
Obviously, you've got a good idea of how wide your average users' screens are. But I'd prefer an option to not browse the site at a fixed width because your power-users probably have screens able to support content well above 960px.

Agreed...fixing the width of content is a step back. I would rather get rid of the green border on the right, have a small fixed green border on the left, and extend content all the way to the right edge of the browser.
Hey, just noticed that the page width has been fixed! I stopped using beta a few days ago due the hassle of having to move the bottom slider left and right so often, now I don't have to. Great job guys.
I didn't like the idea of getting rid of the right border due to balance/aesthetics so I'm glad that you kept both (now if you could do something about that ugly border color... it works for the logo but too much is not attractive, could do without the diagonal lines through it too).
ETA: BTW, I think beta's green, gray, and white color scheme now makes FW look like woot.com
Just had to let you guys know that I, for one, love the new blue-green background and the removal of the diagonal lines. It is much more aesthetically pleasing and matches grays, blues, and tans used on the forums pages much better. Looks great!
