It's appearing more and more like the BP gusher is a staged event. This can and will be used to raise well-head and pump taxes, drive an overall carbon tax and reduce future off-shore drilling. Since the Queens of both England and the Netherlands are the 2 primary share holders of BP, it is understandable how a coordinated, larger objective is being carried out with the tacit permission of the US government. Now you can all talk about tin foil hats and Chupacabras, but the simple fact of the matter is that this oil spill will be beneficial for a select group and costly for the rest. $5 per gallon gas is right around the corner. Do you agree or disagree?
I know it's difficult to accept a potential reality that shatters our base understanding of the world, but I choose the red pill. That being said, I don't see any analysis as to whether this will end up costing or making BP money over the next number of years. I'm quite certain it will end up costing us money of the next few years. I also don't see anyone denying my theories with any credibility either. In fact, I'm finding people's deathgrip on a flawed and debunked conspiracy theory most entertaining.
It is a testament to the level of mind-control such that a wild conspiracy theory constructed by the establishment is beyond question of the basic facts such as who benefits and how it cannot even be addressed seriously. But if you think 15 stripper mongers being led by a dying former CIA operative from a cave in Afghanistan is not a conspiracy theory, then you don't even understand the phrase. You see, in 1963, the shadow government decided you were ready to accept Winston Smith's new arithmetic.
We all like to think a super secret group of people are controlling world events like masterful puppeteers but the reality is BP is just a corrupt company run by idiots. They cut corners for profits and now their gamble is raping the gulf coast.
The bigger problem is most Americans are frigging idiots who do not understand liberty or the real role of government being of the people, by the people, for the people. We the people need to protect our health and wealth...not protect sectors or specific companies. We should regulate the hell out of them, they'll evolve to the regulations or die...if they die so be it. Oil will eventually run out and hopefully before that we'll be running off renewables, the gulf is a tourist/ecosystem/food supply that is supposed to be renewable that will provide when taken care of for generations to come.
Instead we think development and expansion is a benefit. Why not prevent development of areas if there is underused capacity. Also we need to shutdown missions who increase the quality of life around the world but prevent distribution of birth control, so they make a whole bunch of converts and then kids of converts and then many die of starvation and disease anyway because there isn't the infrastructure in the environment/food supply/etc. to support them. I'm starting to think if it wasn't for Malaria most of africa would just be a bunch of starving zombie children walking around who have kids then die and then those kids grwon up and then die.

BP was getting too close to our underwater UFO base. We're not saying sorry because frankly, we're not. We plan to eat all of you eventually anyway. Sincerely, kamalktk, spokeslizard of the lizard people
The financial ramifications of the BP gusher: 1. Increased beach & fishing travel to California if it hooks the gulfstream and travels up the East Coast 2. Explosive increase in price of Shrimp 3. Marginally higher gas prices (because we import so much by now) 4. Millions of livelihoods ruined, potentially for decades

$5 gasoline is still cheap. Its over $8 in most of Europe. As for conspiracy, whatever. For blame, look at TransOcean, American Company, whose blow out preventer did not work. Cut regulations & safety, you get more accidents. Companies are out to make money.

Drudge is not a reporter, a journalist or a newsgatherer. He is, as he himself admits, simply a purvevor of gossip.

One of the common tactic that idiot, nuts, and conspiracy theorist use is "you are not giving my THEORY EQUAL consideration".
All thoeries not the same. There's a reason flat earth theory is no longer mentioned in the text book.
For example, consider my theory:
better theory said: OP is really a agent for the rebel faction of the lizard folks, who been fighting this secret war for the last 2000 years. His(well, he is really a shemale, you know, the lizard folks). His mission is to stop the main lizard faction, who have been running the global government and corporations. However, due to the lizard brain's limitation, s/he doens't realize that creating nutty theory on the net actually do more to generate redicule for the truth! The leader of the rebel lizard folks are really pissed.. .stay tuned
Do any of you have evidence to deny my theory? Ya, I thought so, you sheeples, keep drinking your coolaid! The end is near.
bro there may be real conspiracies out there but this aint one of em. now some of the proposed "solutions" may be, ie certain people suggesting to nuke the sea bed
I blame the 'Money Oligarchs' and the Intelligentsia, we are living in a world run by a 'shadowy Illuminati' who's goal is no less than a One World Government, they alone control. Now if you will excuse me, I have to get back to watching for the 'Black Helicopters'
My inside sources at Bilderberg 2010 are telling me that gas will be priced around $4 shortly. This will happen when Iran is attacked in the near future. They are really ticked off and Brzezinski admits the entire world is on to the New World Order. Therefore, you should expect some really big things because they are going for broke and taking no quarter. They will try to defend the Euro and don't know if they can save it. If not, they will try to collapse all the major currencies in pursuit of the SDR as the new global currency and the IMF as the new regulator of ALL banking world wide.

Can you also ask your source when the stock market will bottom out? I've got 50 war nickels and a can of baked beans ready to invest.
Ninjas hired by Toyota blew up the rig to get the stuck accelerator issue off the front pages. Worked like a charm... probably saved Toyota billions in terms of market cap.

This is so last week. The plain fact is that the death of Gary Coleman was no accident. Gary Coleman was about to blow the lid of the entire sordid affair. Dennis Hopper and Rue McClanahan had a secret love child. That child is linked to Coleman and knows everything. He or she is in hiding. In the next few weeks, be prepared for amazing disclosures.

duh guys.Well, let's see what step 2 could consist of:
BP liability may or may not be limited to $75MM and cleanup responsibility only in the immediate area of the rig due to the legal liability cap. BP produces 4MM barrels per day. The price of oil may increase by more than $30 per barrel because of shortages due to new gulf drilling prohibitions and other requirements.
Is this math too complicated for anyone but me to understand?
An extra $120MM per day, seven days a week adds up pretty quickly, doesn't it?

Is this math too complicated for anyone but me to understand?
An extra $120MM per day, seven days a week adds up pretty quickly, doesn't it? In 2008, when oil was priced approximately $60 a barrel above what it is today, BP made 21.6 billion. In 2009, when the price was about what it is today, BP made 16.7 Billion. link
So it would be fairly easy to estimate that if the price went up $30m or to roughly the midpoint between 2008 and 2009 prices, BP would make around the midpoint of its 2008-2009 profits. THat would be (21.6+16.7)/2 = 19.15 billion.
That's 2.45 billion more than last year. Assuming no change in manufacturing/production expenses.
Of course, all those new regulations will drive BP's expenses way up as well. Let's say these regulations make their production manufacturing expenses rise by a measly 10% (note that this is less than the 2008-2009 difference in their manufacturing expenses). In 2009 they had 23.2 billion in manufacturing/prodcution costs. So 23.2x0.1= 2.32 billion.
So they make an extra 2.45 billion, but have to spend an extra 2.32 billion to do it because of regulations. For a net of 0.13 billion.
Good thing their market cap has dropped by 100 billion. So only 769 plus years to replace that.
Frankly, the math is too complicated for humans to understand. That's why I, as a lizard person, have to lay it out for your puny human brains.
In closing, a suggestion to my fellow lizard people.
I think you've actually made my point quite well. We all know their market cap is not as significant as their profits. You use a liberal marginal cost factor of 10% and it still leaves an extra 130 Million dollars. Cui bono?
I had to fill up my car with gas today and specifically went to a BP station even though another station is my usual stop. I don't know why everyone is making this out to be some conspiracy. I guarantee BP wishes this never happened and wants to fix it at least as badly if not more than anybody else. Their stock price and their profits are being hammered. Until someone presents evidence of at least a memo that proves BP willfully cut corners and sacrificed safety for selfish purposes, I don't think BP should be so vilified. Heck, they're not even the ones who built, owned, or operated the rig.
News has just emerged from the Gulf Coast that BP is burning endangered sea turtles alive.
A boat captain who has been leading efforts to rescue the endangered turtles says BP has blocked his crews from entering the areas where the animals are trapped, effectively shutting down the rescue operation.
BP is using "controlled burns" to contain the oil spill. Shrimp boats create a corral of oil by dragging together fire-resistant booms and then lighting the enclosed "burn box" on fire. If turtles are not removed from the area before the fire is lit, they are literally burned alive.
