I am new to Chase so please go easy on me with my question. How does one use the debit card to pay a utility bill to qualify for this offer? I enrolled in this promotion and got a confirmation. Went to my Chase account and only see bill pay options using my Chase checking account or by using my Chase credit cards. Where can I fine the Debit card option or is this likned automatically? If someone can help with this, thank you. If not, I will contact my local Chase banker and post the reply.
Thanks OP!
You pay with the utility companies. If you have a Comcast bill you want to pay, you go to their website and pay it with your Chase debit card. I'm pretty sure you must have it processed as a credit card so be careful.
Caterpillar123 is correct - you go to comcast.net, tmobile.com, etc and make a payment of at least $50 (I'd do $50.01 just to be safe). Enter your debit card number as though it were a credit card (it should have a Visa logo on it so it's processed like a credit card). And that's it. Make 3 payments, wait til November or December or whenever Chase agreed to make the payment.

For anyone else that pays Sprint, be careful. They try to process the transaction over the debit network rather than through Visa/MC. You'll have to click "change payment type" after entering your card number.

I paid Verizon three times.

Both my Gas and Electric utilities caharge a "convenience" fee to use a debit card for bill payments that would mostly offset any gain for this promotion. I will try to use this with Time-Warner for my TV/phone service.
Thanks for the replies!

Awesome, I got the $30 on the 2nd. I closed the checking account I originally specified that the bonus goes into and though it was lost but Chase just put it in my current active account.

I recall sprint used to give this choice but loks like it does not, any more.
Two payments from different chase debit cards went in w/o such choice, and i recall seeing something to the effect of being routed automatically through appropriate networks, so now not sure if that will matter.
The T & C from chase offer do not state that has to go through credit card network.

However, it may be targeted. Did not work for me. YMMV
Thanks for the link!

I have been reading the promo and can't find where does it say that debit card has to be used as the credit card? In the rules it says "...visit their website to confirm that they accept debit cards as payment.."

It is always good and best to use the option by selecting credit.
My $20 was credited to my account yesterday (for the 8/1-10/1 promo). I made the three qualifying payments on September 18/19 to T-Mobile Wireless using the CREDIT network. I was not specifically invited, but was able to register.

Received the $20 credit in my account with a transaction date of 10/26 as well. Made 3 $50 payments to Verizon and AT&T Wireless bills in Sept. to qualify.
Haven't gotten mine posted yet for the $20 dollar. I made 1 payment to Sprint and 2 to DirecTv all for 50.01. Payments were made on 9/14, 9/15, and 9/16

Why the heck are people giving me red for saying I got the $20? I'm not the reason you didn't get your $20.No idea. Some are like 2 year olds around here when it comes to pressing the red buttons.

Or maybe it's because we don't want everyone who got the bonus to post here just to say that, except maybe the first person, which this poster wasn't.
I'm being told that I cannot pay the same merchant twice for the promo. I was unable to find that anywhere in the T&C so I'll let you know if they will credit me or not.
^That's exactly what I did and I got it. It seems like they tightened up the criteria in the middle of the deal. You can probably try call in to speak with someone else.

Took a few emails, but they are now stating they will credit me my $20 on 12/28. I'll follow up if I get paid or not then.
