There's another thread people are using. A lot of people who applied early have started receiving their flights. It appears to trigger after you pay for your first purchase.

I agree, but only barely. The rewards lost from spending that $5000 on another card is minimum (1%) $50, so that balances the annual fee. Then you have to weight $500 vs the cost of one flight... it depends. I chose the $500 deal in the end.

I got my 2 free round trips after about 3-4 weeks from the time I first used the card. It actually comes as 4- one ways. Also, although there are no blackout dates, the flights on those dates are limited to the unpopular options.

I'm learning that the hard way.. want to go to Vegas - yeah you can go.. but you get in at 11:45pm and you have a 2 hr layover in Houston (uhhhhh!!!)
I wish this program was if there is a seat available you can get it (that is what I thought it was)
