I'm wondering if some legal action took place to get the username changed... Your profile ID number is really the unique identifier in the backend, the display name that the mods can change is just for us. Interestingly enough the new display name for our most recent shill is "deleted_<profileID#>", so what SIS says about could have been a legal request makes a bit more sense.
I perhaps wasn't clear in what I meant by "uniquely identify." It had nothing to do with backend coding...I was referring simply to real life.
For example, some time ago, one of Hot Deals' frequent TCers openly admitted that he was cheating on his wife. Sure enough, a quick Google search revealed that his FW username was his username for everything else...including his Facebook profile with real name, home city, and wife's name. Smart.
Since it was quiet in this thread, I decided to check out what Referdia was up to. There's some interesting things I noticed.
1. Their site definitely looks nicer than it did the last time I viewed it. 2. You cannot view (even sample) deals by area unless you create an account. They have 6 sample deals posted on the deals page, but 3 are in Canada, 2 in Ohio, and 1 in Arizona. I have no plans of spending time in any of those places, so I'm not really impressed. 3. They now sell a premium membership level for $8/mo (discounted for 6 and 12 mo subscription paid up front). Without any way to view what deals are available (and the difference between regular deals and premium membership deals) who would want to sign up?
Groupon and LivingSocial don't charge for access to their sites. What makes Referdia think they can, especially without providing any relevant sample deals?

Probably just another way to skim $8 a month off the front line soldiers. I wouldn't be surprised if they are required to get the premium membership to be able to sell the product. No freebies with Invado/Referdia.
I spent money on this only because of the Daily Referral portion of the scam. 9 months or so after they said it would be up and running they changed their name to Referdia. The coupon deals I had set up with my customers never materialized. Then, the business model was going to change again.

Why do they call themselves an INC as in Invado International Inc when their business record for Ohio says they are an LLC. See Ohio Business Search Result See Document # 201109601058 in that record changing name to Invado, Mintz is the signer.
If an entity only has an LLC filing can it call itself an INC? Can you hold your entity out to have a different liability status than it in fact does based on its filings? Anyone know?

I am not an attorney, but frequently negotiate contracts on behalf of an LLC (which had converted from a corporation). My attorney made it clear that I am always supposed to refer to the entity as a company (not a corporation). I'm not sure if she's just being cautious/specific, or if there's really an issue.

I am not an attorney, but frequently negotiate contracts on behalf of an LLC (which had converted from a corporation). My attorney made it clear that I am always supposed to refer to the entity as a company (not a corporation). I'm not sure if she's just being cautious/specific, or if there's really an issue.
Please please be careful. If you google Kevin Roser who is a director of this company you will find that he is a convicted felon. He is very dangerous and a sociopath. He has stolen money from many women and elderly people besides what he was caught for securities fraud and convicted for. He lied about being married to his wife Julie for 15 years and claim they have 4 children.... He was in prison then and proir to prison he was on a rampage of theift! He is very slick and abusive and has left so many screwed over.. Any companies or people associated with this creep I would stay very very far away!!!! I hope Julie his wife if that is true is safe.

It looks like maybe Invado/Referdia has finally crashed and burned (or maybe Andre Maronian - formerly of the Invado scam - wants people to think that).
It looks like Maronian launched a new MLM called MyLife, and posted on Facebook about a failed negotiation to transition Invado/Referdia reps over to his new MyLife company.

Wow, we can watch a new MLM "opportunity" grow from a seed. Out of all the BS on that Facebook page, I saw two mentions of a product. A home alarms system and some sort of Coffee Bean .

They have some sort of relationship now with the entertainment book people, such that their "deals" are essentially the entertainment coupons.
The difference being that you can buy an entertainment book for $10 or less on clearance, or even potentially sign up for a free online account, whereas for referdia you spend $8 per month, every month.
