Also a few days before that I printed out the info and mailed it in to get a debit card, and haven't gotten one? The only thing I have managed to get is a hard pull... Based on what someone else posted above, it seems like the first week of April is when we'll get the bonuses.

What's the problem with sending a secure email or simply picking up the damn phone and asking the company directly. Here's an fyi from doing exactly the above. ugh- lazy people.
I am happy to help. The Bill Pay and ATM/Debit card promotions are separate from the new account free trading promotion. You actually do not need an offer code for the Bill Pay and ATM/Debit card promotions. Your account is automatically eligible.
If you make the qualifying transactions by 3/31/2012, your account will automatically receive the cash bonuses. Please note that cash bonuses will be paid 3 to 5 business days after 3/31/2012 regardless of when you complete the qualifying transactions.
If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Because, for the 20 millionth time, contacting them kills the deal that much faster. Aside from that, customer service rarely knows what's going on and gives false information with regularity. So you're killing the deal in the process of seeking worthless information.

Got my debit card in the mail today - having some trouble activating it with the pin, but will likely figure that out.
Update: It will come in the mail within 1-2 days of the card itself.

Just so we don't flood their CSRs - did you receive the targeted email or did you just open a new account to get this promo?

I applied directly. When the chat box option was available, I asked if there were any special codes I needed for the atm/bill promo. Sent her a link to promo. She said no codes, and the promo would apply. I then reconfirmed with secure mail before I finished the complete sign up process. I simply said that I'd rather not go through a complex sign-up process if the bonus does not attach to my account. Also said to simply transfer back my 10K, if I was not eligible, and I would cancel the sign up process. That was the secure message response I posted. I was not targeted; however, a friend that works at TD Ameritrade gave me a heads-up on the promo. FW provides follow-up info; however, I will continue to believe that most use FW to milk the system. Which is fine by me, simply do not whine when you know you are milking the system.

What bothers me is the random reports of hard pulls, some (possibly) following debit card request. Others seem to think the hard pulls are related to margin request at account opening... I already have an account with TD and did the 4x bill pay but I prefer to avoid any hard pulls so I haven't requested a debit card yet. I wish there was more clarity as to what triggers hard pulls and specifically if debit card request on a pre-existing account may trigger one...

Data point: pre-existing customer, ordered debit card by mail around 3 weeks ago, no hard pull as of today on TU or EX, haven't checked EQ. WA state.
From reviewing this thread, I didn't notice any reports of existing customers getting a hard pull, but if they did another variable might be how much they have deposited at TD. If they already have 10,000 of your money, that might be a criteria they use for trusting you with a debit card with $1000/day limit (or whatever). Just brainstorming...

Most of mine less than 24 hours. There was one that took a couple of days, but I think that was because it was over a weekend. I've sent 5 total bill pays so far.

Thank you OP for posting this.
A friend of mine sent me the referral for TDA about 2 weeks ago; I signed up and transferred my account from Ameriprise. He got $50 bonus, I got $100 bonus, and TDA says they will refund me the $100 Account Closure fee charged by Ameriprise. I also have a bunch of free trades available. Now I signed up for this deal for another $200.
So far TDA looks like a very good website and have very good customer service. I did see that you have to keep the account open for 9 months, plus they charge a $75 Account Closing fee.

How long does it take for the debit card purchases to show up online? I've made a few purchases and I'm not seeing anything pending online. Unless there is a different area of the website to go and look; I'm on my main account page.

Go to "online cash service" tab and you should see all the billpay or debit card transactions, although i agree that their transactions aren't posted timely (slow compare to other banks).

I have nothing at this time and I made almost $100 in total charges this weekend, which started with charges on Saturday. I don't think I've seen a bank's charges delayed by this much, but I guess they are considered more of a discount broker than bank.

no, the only way they would count as a debit card purchase would be if you wrote out a check. Using the debit card to pay a bill is not a purchase.

Clients who successfully sign up for the TD Ameritrade VisaŽ debit card and make 4 purchases valued at a minimum of $10 each by 3/31/12 will receive $100 cash.

You've only started (to charge) this past weekend and today is only Monday. It's too early, give it some time to show up. Actually some of my "regular" banks also dely postings for 2-3 days, especially if the charges occurred during the weekend.

Is pin-less purchase qualified as the debit card transaction or do I have to use pin to do the transaction in order to qualify?

I asked TDA-CS about this early on, since my gas station doesn't request a PIN at the pump. PIN-less is fine, as long as it's over $10 it qualifies.

Seems like most are only paying off the bare minimum $10 requirement. Given that this TDA cash account generates minimum (if any interest) and has no minimum balance requirement, it may make sense to pay off the bills from this account before paying from any other account that does generate some interest, ie, Ally/Alliant/any bank or CU that was initially used to fund the TDA account. For instance, if one has a mortgage or loan to pay off, why not use this account that was created with a minimum of $500 instead of taking away potential interest?

It seems that you may have a USPS delivery problem. My TDAmeritr@de Check card request was delivered within <5 days of my order, and within <8 days of the debit card pin#.

I mailed my request for checks & debit card. Received the checks over a week ago, but no debit card. I guess I will have to mail the request again, or fax it.
Edited to add: I just logged online to my account, tried to print out the request form again. There is a phone number on the debit card request webpage: 888-723-8504, option 6.
I called, told the CSR that I still have not received my debit card. The CSR asked if I received my checks, I said yes. So he looked into it. Appearantly, he said there is no debit card requested for my account, which was not true. When I mailed out my request 3 weeks ago, I was pretty sure I marked the checkbox to request for both the debit card and the checks.
He said he could do a request for me right now so that I will get it within 7 business days. I asked if I still qualify for the $100 bonus, he said yes. Fingers crossed.
