Just got the following in the mail:

Act now to earn 5% Cash Back (up to $25) on qualifying home improvement purchases made with your Platinum Plus® Visa® credit card account.

Activate your offer now to earn 5% Cash Back on purchases at these types of merchants through June 30, 2012:

Hardware
Interior Furnishings
Garden Supplies

Seems like their quarterly targeted offers. The Cash Back looks to be in the form of a statement credit from my past experience.

Also, the mail says to go to https://www.bankofamerica.com/easyrewards which doesn't seem to work anymore. The correct URL is https://easyrewards.bankofamerica.com

It depends on your card (targetted). Just received an offer for Drugstore, Groceries, Gas, Restaurant.

Yes, it does seem to be highly targeted.
It was 5% on groceries last quarter for me and this quarter it's a sweet "spend over $199 on travel (hotels, car rentals, airfare) and get $25 back",
so 12.5% CashBack on first $200 in effect.

"Congratulations! You have successfully enrolled in the 5% Cash Back offer. Now simply use your credit card for these eligible travel purchases and earn 5% Cash Back (up to $25) through June 30, 2012:

Airfare • Hotels • Travel Agencies • Car Rentals • Cruises"

I got the same thing. To me that's just about as useful as 5% of on buggy whips and spats.

"Congratulations! You have successfully enrolled in the 5x bonus points offer. Now simply use your credit card for qualifying purchases and earn 5x points (up to 2,500 points) through June 30, 2012.

We appreciate your business and invite you to continue to experience all your account has to offer.

This offer was described in a communication that was sent to you on 3/23/2012. Please refer to the communication you received from Bank of America for additional offer details."

As far as I can tell, it is 5x on ALL purchases?!

I got the same. Spent the $500 already and am awaiting the bonus. We'll see.

Went to https://easyrewards.bankofamerica.com and was offered:

Offer Description:
Endorsed Upgrade Visa Signature or MC World
Expiration Date 2012-04-30

I'm not sure whether to accept this offer. I don't know whether there is any benefit to upgrading. I was surprised that it wasn't a Cash Back offer.

My current card is their Nature Conservancy Visa (BoA donates a small percentage of my purchase amounts to the Nature Conservancy).

ETA update: I never clicked to accept the online upgrade offer, but pretty soon here came a Visa Signature in the mail anyway (an automatic upgrade) -- still a Nature Conservancy Visa with same credit line, but benefits a little different.

The targeted offer I have is 3% on travel. I think it was on my Bofa Mastercard, which is normally 1% on everything and nothing more.

The letter shows in really big print "Earn 5% Cash Back" and says "earn 5% Cash Back" two additional places on the front of the letter, but it's a bit of a let down when you discover that the limit is $25. That is only mentioned once in normal sized print. Their previous offers have been much more forthcoming in highlighting the $25 you'll get back if you spend a certain amount. I find the way they've done this misleading.

This card already pays 3% Cash Back on gasoline and 2% on groceries. Having it pay 5% for a couple of months would have been nice, and BofA seems to want to make you think that it will, but it's really just a $25 statement credit for using the card the way you normally would. That's fine and appreciated, but don't offer 5% Cash Back and then take it away with an asterisk that severely limits it.

I got 5% on travel, gas, movie, and food. Odd that the variance is so high.

I got the same offer for 5% on gas, groceries, pharmacy and restaurantsl. I know I signed up because I clicked it twice and it said I was already signed up. Just got my first statement since signing up and no bonus

Needless to say I'll be shifting that spending back to my frequent flier card.

If you got the same "earn 5% bonus cash" offer as I did, read the fine print on the offer and I believe you'll find it to say "Allow up to 10-12 weeks from the end of the promotion for the statement credit to appear on your credit card account billing statement or online statement." So that'd mean you might not get any of the credit till the beginning of October. However, my experience with these BofA promos leads me to expect the first of several credits to appear mid-May, totaling up to $25 by mid-July.

Chris.

OK, a little later than I expected, but I just got a credit for $22.10, which represents charges in the bonus categories through the beginning of May (to the penny). I'll expect a credit for the remaining $2.90 in about a month.

Chris.

Just got a new one. Looks like 5% CashBack on anything (up to $500 spending, or $25 CashBack).

What does this mean?

"Congratulations! You have successfully activated the 5x bonus points offer. Now simply use your credit card for purchases from gas stations to restaurants to just about anything and earn 5x points (up to 2,500 points) through September 30, 2012."

What does "just about anything" mean?

I have the same thing. My interpretation is that it's an extra 5% CashBack on everything, except whatever they decide is ineligible. . . later on.

Looks like they have new offers available for the 4th quarter. Went to the site (https://easyrewards.bankofamerica.com) and entered my name and last four digits of card. Got the following:

Congratulations! You have successfully activated the 3% Cash Back offer. Now simply use your credit card on these qualifying holiday purchases and earn 3% Cash Back (up to $25) through December 31, 2012:

Book Stores • Sporting Goods Stores • Toy Stores • Electronics Stores • Department Stores

I got 5% instead of 3%

I got a switch card to a CashBack card. Not even a $100 bonus. This is after bank of America has sent me three different cards in the past two years with different account numbers. What's wrong with my existing card number? I can't keep track any longer.

I just got this offer for my Fidelity Visa, but with 5% instead of 3%.

Got this on an old card (Iowa rewards). 5 Worldpoints/$ up to 2500.

I've got something new and nice on my Travel Rewards Platinum Plus Visa - 10% off:

"Congratulations! You have successfully activated the $50 Cash Back offer. Now simply use your credit card for all purchases from gas stations to restaurants to just about anything and earn $50 Cash Back if you make purchases totaling $500 or more through December 31, 2012."

Did not get anything on the card that had been the Schwab card (although I've never used it, so maybe that's why).

I had the 5x bonus points offer up to 2500 pts for July-Sept but forgot to use it and they gave it again for Sept-Dec

For some reason their system glitched and is giving me 9% bonus (base 1% + bonus 4% + bonus 4%) -- not sure if the glitch will remain til Dec or cut off after my Sept-Oct statement

I got this on my card and made a $500 purchase on 11/1 but have not received the credit yet. What's the timeframe for their posting the credit? I want to figure out if I need to make another purchase to get the $25 back.

Actualy I just noticed that the email offer I got said "Gas Stations | Grocery Stores | Drug Stores | Restaurants | Travel | Everything" so I'm pretty sure I am safe, especially since I spent it on travel.

Click on Account Details -> Rewards -> "View Reward Points Transaction History" and it will list each purchase you made and the points it earned, including bonus points. The points will be added to your balance on the statement closing date, but you can view the points you will earn starting a day or two after the purchase posts (even before the closing date) by looking at the above page.

Note that usually the 2500 point limit refers to the bonus points you earn, not including the base points. So, for example, if you normally earn 1 point per dollar spent and get a 5x points offer, only the 4x additional points count towards the 2500 point limit. In other words, if you normally earn 1 point per dollar, spend $625 to max out the bonus.

Got 5% on Gas Stations • Grocery Stores • Drug Stores • Restaurants on my MLB card, and 3% on Airfare • Hotels • Travel Agencies • Car Rentals • Cruises on my 3-2-1 card that was converted from the Schwab card. Maybe I'll finally activate it since we are going on a cruise this quarter and can use it to settle on-board charges. At 3% I can even get money from the casino since I think they "only" charge 2%.

Nothing (again) on my FIA AMEX card . And I see that I finally got the $25 credited from last quarter's promotion on the MLB card.

Thanks for the link, got $5.00 free from BoA with this

You are one of our best customers and we appreciate you using your credit card. To show our appreciation, please accept the $5 Target gift card which we offered you in a recent mail piece. It’s our way of saying “thanks”.

Please allow up to 8-10 weeks for your gift card to arrive.

It's that time again. Check easyrewards.bankofamerica.com to see if they're offering anything on your BofA/FIA cards. We got 3% on restaurants on one of our CashRewards cards, 5X points on gas/grocery/drug/restaurants on a WorldPoints card. Other two cards got nothing.

Chris.

For some reason, ever since FIA replaced my fidelity AMEX card number because it was "stolen", I haven't received any of these offers. I also recently got the Fidelity Visa and nothing on that either

got another one in the mail yesterday for BOA cash rewards
5% on $500 spending on restuarants, grocery stores, drugtores, anything

Nice! Got offered a $15 gift card to Target, Starbucks, or Best Buy.

I just enrolled for the 1st quarter bonus on my BOA AMEX Preferred cc. The bonus was 5% CashBack (max: $25) for Airfare, Hotels, Travel Agencies, Car Rentals & Cruises. On the enrollment successful page, it also showed the upcoming quarter promos. See attached PDF.

Yeah, up to $500 per quarter, $25 back. Pathetic.

Does buying a GC at a grocery store count if grocery stores is part of 5% CB? My offer is gas, drug stores, restaurants and grocery stores.

I can't imagine why it wouldn't.
